The Fab Five will be appearing on Pat Buchanan's MSNBC show tomorrow (everyone who is surprised to learn that Pat Buchanan *has* an MSNBC show, raise your hand). According to the NBC press release, we are promised "a full 'Queer Eye' assessment" of the host. Sorry, but I don't think the world is ready for a QE'd Pat Buchanan.

That gave me a fabulous idea. Who needs a "Queer Eye" makeover more than the beleaguered governor of California, Gray Davis? A new wardrobe by Carson (lose the two-button suit jackets!), a makeover by Kyan (that blah hair color: do you have to take the name "Gray" literally?), a few "hip tips" from Jai (loosen up, babe!), and boring ol' Gray would be ready to go toe-to-toe with the Terminator. Bravo, send the Five to Sacramento: the gov needs them!

I'd like to see them work Billy Bob Thornton over.

Queer Eye for Guvenuh Gray.

1) New Doo, something retro, but not staid. Gray NEEDS a mohawk.

2) Clothing, Slacks w/ pleats, dark colored. Red jacket, black shirt, and most definately, a skinny tie from the 80's if the moths haven't eaten those yet.

3) Left Ear pierced twice. But stud earings only, nothing too pretentious.

4) The Name - Tai. Noone would recall Governuh Tai Davis, they wouldn't even have called him the first time.

So there it is. A new image for a new man. It would be impossible to recall Gray Davis, if we can't even remeber who he is.

All I know is that if those sodomites tried to make me over, they would wind up requiring the services of a skilled team of plastic surgeons for their subsequent makeover.

I don't think Pat will take their advice and dress the gay way.

He may have them on just to abuse them.

They may like that...

Actually, Buchanan treats his guests very well, much more respectfully than Sean Hannity does. I'm sure he won't pull his punches in his criticism and I'd bet it will be a pretty good and humorous interview.

Thanks, I don't watch TV so I'll take your word for it.

I wonder what the reaction would be if there was a show called "Straight Eye for The Queer Guy"...a show to teach queers how to dress and act like real men.

From MSNBC's On Air page (http://msnbc.com/news/MSNBCCABLE_Front.asp?0cv=CC4):

The Fab Five of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” will appear on ‘Buchanan and Press,’ 6-7 p.m. (ET), promising a full assessment of Pat and Bill Press, and a few more surprises.

When this show started, I told my manly husband to punch them out.

Now, I have a better plan. He is to call all the men from our church and take these girly men fishing. They probably have never been in the presence of real men. Oh, they would have a little trouble casting at first, but soon that wrist would firm up.

Since you've apparently never seen the show, it's understandable you don't have a clue. The guys aren't made to look queer in the least.

Your implication was that straight guys are queered up on Queer Eye. That is not the case.

I never would have thought that Buchanan was in bed with the homosexual crowd.

He may have them on because as an NBC employee, he may not have a choice. From this thread, I gather that his show is on MS-NBC. NBC and NBC-owned Bravo have both been airing the Queer Eye series.

The edict to have them on the show may not have been Pat's choice.

Personally, I think a QE makeover for Gray would be redundant. That guy's already as prissy as Kevin Kline in "In & Out". Maybe more so.

Actually... I have seen it and it is a pretty good show! (not at all what I expected) They did a great job with the guy who was going to propose to his girlfriend.

Come on! Didn't Buchanan already go to bed with a commie vicepresidential candidate?

This is just fun for his rating-deprived show.
