I always knew the media was bad but in recent months they have hit an all time low with phoney stories that are being printed as facts. I swear these stories coming out of the Bush Administration are being planted by Clintonites who are still there. Nothing else explains it.

Day after day stories have to be debunked as untrue AFTER they appear in the DemocRAT Liberal Media.

Well, to be fair to one part of the media, CNN, they had the story right this morning and reported that the draw down was bull. But I have yet to see a correction on MSNBC...

Government Agency Office Politics 101:

1) Someone in the air marshall program gets word that some TSA programs will be cut.
2) Said someone plants story with media that because of cuts, many flights will no longer have air marshalls.
3) Sh*t hits the fan -- hard.
4) Head honchos race to the mic to proclaim that the air marshall program won't be cut.
5) Person who planted the story secretly grins.

I don't see anything in this story that would refute the other report. This one simply says that the number of marshals wouldn't be reduced. It doesn't say anything about whether any are being pulled from certain flights.

Sounds like CYA from the government to me.

According to CNN, a memo went out this last weekend advising that, in light of recent AQ threats, the TSA should do whatever it needed to do to meet the threat. That did not include cutting air marshalls. MSNBC screwed up.

Oh Please! MSNBC broke this story yesterday that the number of Air Marshalls would be cut. The next day the govt' changes it's story. Get the facts straight.

The main thrust-I posted it first here I think-was the removal of air marshalls from international and cross country flights.Not trying to be an MSNBC apologist,but,as I recall that was the story's content.We all have to take a step back I think.We certainly support W and his administration ,but,he and they aren't infallible.(sp?)
