Columnist Arianna Huffington said Monday she hasn't made up her mind. But she said if she decides to run for the seat, she will do so as an independent to offer Californians a "progressive alternative" to the Republicans trying to oust Davis, a Democrat.

Huffington also said she would run for governor only if her ex-husband, Michael Huffington, doesn't run. The former GOP congressman is considering a bid.
Too bad. The entertainment value of a Huffington vs Huffington race would have been enormous. BTW, I wonder if Mikey is thinking of entering the race just to mess up Arianna's chances.

I think the ONLY reason Michael Huffington is thinking about entering the race is to keep Arianna out. His hate for her must be so intense that he can't stand for her to be in the limelight. Remember, according to Mikey, Arianna outed him to all his relatives. And what really makes him mad is that she told them he is GAY when he claims to be only a homosexual.
It will be funny to see what Mikey says in his campaign speeches.---"Vote for me because I kept that bitch, Arianna, from running!"

Is Arianna Huffington really a Republican?
Or is she a Democrat in deep, deep cover?

I doubt you could have ever called Arriana conservative...
Americans would be wise to take Huffington in small doses. She's the type of woman who is likely to tell you that you can wring butter from a chicken if you think only positive thoughts.
Before she was Huffingtoned, Arianna Stassinopolous was born in Greece and educated in Cambridge, where she was a regular in the British gossip columns. Twenty-one years ago, she wrote a book about Maria Callas, left England and everyone in New York City went wild for her.
Once stateside, Stassinopolous began to social climb, dating Presidential candidate Jerry Brown and hanging out with rich oil people like the Getty family. Married Michael Huffington, the oil-magnate and heir to the Huffco fortune in 1986. Spent $100,000 on the wedding. Wrote a controversial book about Pablo Picasso in 1988. Did some talk radio stuff. Encouraged hubby to spend $28 million on a losing bid for a California
Senate seat in 1994. The Huffingtons divorce. Michael Huffington tells Esquire that he's gay. Everyone says Arianna Stassinopolous Huffington knew all along.
Well, that -- aaand Huffington was an ordained minister in the Movement for Spiritual Inner Awareness, a new-age religious cult that was founded in 1963 by John-Roger, who woke up from gall-bladder surgery and thought he was bigger than Jesus Christ.

Michael Huffington tells Esquire that he's gay. Wrong! Michael Huffington told Esquire that he is a homosexual but NOT gay. Yeah, I know this sounds ridiculous but he insists this is the case. I even posted a thread here on this topic.
Everyone says Arianna Stassinopolous Huffington knew all along.
Apparently Arianna even outed Mikey to his whole family. I wonder if that was a way to get a bigger divorce settlement?

I don't get this woman. I think she is mad. Five years ago, you would have thought she was the mounth piece for the Republican party. Now, you would swear she is the second coming of Ralph Nader. I don't think a person like this has any true beliefs.
