"Radical feminists have succeeded in tilting the balance of marital power strongly in favor of women. And men, fearing that marriage may turn out to be a raw deal, have simply made other plans."

Truer words were never spoken. What man wants to see all that he's worked hard for all his life go up in smoke just because his "wife" saw someone else that she'd rather have?

OH! It’s way more than that. Did you miss this:

Then, there’s the feminist-driven Violence Against Women Act. That’s the federal boondoggle which has spawned domestic violence laws around the country that make a mockery of "innocent until proven guilty."

I’m 42, I’ve dated a women for 8 years. Been engaged for 2 years. She has two kids from a previous marriage. Even though I have known and trusted her for years Marriage scares the Beejeesus out of me.

Well I consider myself extraordinarily fortunate. I've been married 16 years and my wife has never given me a single reason to regret it. Still, I can't help but think in the back of my mind that it could all come crashing down on me due to a single false accusation on her part. Not that I have reason it will ever happen. But if she was the malicious type and she wanted to get rid of me, she could concoct some BS story about how I hit her and she could have me thrown out on the street by sunset and everything I have worked for these past 20 years will be gone. House, 401(k), savings, access to my children, etc. Everything. Sure, with the help of a very expensive lawyer, I might get a little of it back for myself and maybe I'll get to see the kids once or twice a week. But that's if I'm lucky. I know men who have truly lost everything. A co-worker of mine who had just bought a house is now living in a ratty apartment and has nearly half his pay garnished from his check for alimony and child support (while his wife stays in the house that he must cover the mortgage on). I know many other people in situations like this.

I can see how that drives some guys over the edge that aren't so fortunate as I to have a good, stable marriage. Not that it would excuse resorting to violent behavior, but I can see how their heads would not be right.
