Reporting here from SF East Bay Area. Visited a Borders bookstore at Union Landing in Union City, CA this evening. Ann's book display was right as you entered the store, but bereft of any copies of Treason, only a few copies of High Crimes.

And they had placed copies of Hillary's book on Ann's display case next to High Crimes. I asked the clerk if they had any copies of Treason, and she claimed they were all sold out. She said 12 copies were on order, but she didn't know when they'd arrive.

Over and out.

At Costco today in San Jose CA. I was looking at how many of the multitude of Hitlery books were sold----only about 6 were missing but TREASON was put on top of some of her books and I laughed....and thought someone is smart.....Then I went to see if any Coulter books were left and I was shocked to see the ugly mug of hillary AGAIN!!! and I dug deeper and there was beautiful Ann HIDDEN (the funny thing is that there were the 6 missing books of ficticious dull history that I thought someone had been foolish enough to buy!!!!)

I was just at Barnes & Nobles... Same thing, Hillary plastered all over the place. Coulter's book was hidden upstairs - Needed someone to show me where it was. Great thing is, I sat down to read it and two people sitting next to me where reading it as well.

I ordered Ann from Amazon, and added a couple of paperbacks I'll be sending to the troops in order to get the free shipping, one of which was "usually available in 11 days."

Amazon sent me an email yesterday that they had been shipped, so it is in the mail faster than I anticipated actually.

Why give your money to a liberal outfit that doesn't respect the right of customers to buy and read what they want. I have no idea what Amazon politics are. They send me whatever I want and the only comment is, hey, if you liked this book, you might also like this other conservative book, and that's the way I like it.

I'm still waiting for my copy from Amazon which I preordered in January!

Have you checked your account? Have you received an email that it has been shipped?

What tin pan line. Little Timmy Robbins ought to stick to reciting lines and not wrting them.

you don't understand. Coulter's almost sold out; it's moving so fast that they're trying to keep it in stock. Hillary, on the other hand, isn't selling. They have an overload and need to move the book out the door to make room for the coming shipments of Potter and Coulter. And no one's buying, but they've got to move inventory. They know that people are getting even less interested exponentially with every passing day. It's a must-sell-now paradigm. And think, if they did with Coulter what they do to Hillary, they'd have to set up more displays per unit time (if they had the inventory to do it!)

The Soviets seem to have had a highly placed agent in American governing circles much more recently than McCarthy's time. According to the current book, Reagan's War, by Peter Schweizer (pp. 94-95):

At KGB headquarters, Yuri Andropov watched the election results with particular interest. As the [1976] election campagin had heated up, the KGB had managed to recruit a Democratic Party activist with direct access to senior levels of the Carter camp. The new agent, who passed political intelligence along to the Second Chief Directorate of the KGB, had a wide circle of influential contacts, including Senators Alan Cranston, Eugene McCarthy, Edward Kennedy, Abraham Ribicoff, and J. William Fulbright.

It was the best source the KGB has ever been known to tape inside a presidential campaign. Thje agent provided valuable inside information on the campaign strategy and offered a detailed profile of Carter himself. On one occasion the agent apparently spent three hours with Carter, Governor Brown of California, and Senator Cranston discussing the election in the candidate's room at the Pacific Hotel in California. According to the KGN report sent to the Politburo, the agent had "direct and prolonged conversations" with Carter. After Carter won in November, KGB chief Andropov forwarded his reports to all the members of the Politburo.

Any guesses on who that highly-placed Democratic Party activist may have been? Robert Strauss? Gray Davis? Is Alan Cranston himself a possibility?

It may not just be bias. Simon & Shyster may be buying that display space from Borders. I don't know if they are, but I wouldn't be surprised. You should ask.

On the other hand - Hillary's book was displayed all over the palce! In the front in the back, on carts EVERYwhere! There were hundreds of Hillary books strategically placed all over

Well, when you can't sell them you need to put them somewhere, the witch's book has very limited shelf life.

Borders is one of the WORST of the bookstores. Many years ago when they first opened up their website they had a NAMBLA emblem on the front page. It was months before they had the sense to remove it.

Mineralman's warning about 'vandalism' strikes me as kind of funny. Customers mis-shelf stuff by accident all the time. You are just absent-minded, that's all. If they waste money on some hopeless lawsuit like that, imagine the publicity circus that would follow. Heck, when I'm 80, I might do something like that on purpose and tempt them.

As for promoting 'small business', we all know that the Hellery hoopla isn't a business decision. It's a political decision. I'm no lawyer, but I would imagine that a customer could walk in to a crowded book store, pick up a Hellery book, berate her, berate the store for pushing that book instead of a Coulter book, plop it down angry in the wrong place in a fit of anger, and walk out. It's a matter of free speech, freedom of expression, and leeway toward customers.

In fact, could it be that stores need to have it clearly written on the walls that books must be returned to their proper place, short of a verbal warning?

Of course, if you shovelled a bunch of Hellery books and misplaced them in a very obvious way and ignored reprimands by clerks, that could be considered illegal.

Then again, it would be better to walk in there and promote a more Coulter-friendly book store, especially Barnes and Noble, until they kick you out.

My brother had the exact problem here in Dayton Ohio. He went to Borders and they had piles of Hillary's book up front that nobody wants, Ann's book was hidden way in the back.

The SHAREHOLDERS in these bookstore chains are ALSO taking it in the shorts, as a result of these liberal antics. If I were a shareholder in B & N, and I found out their managers and employees were suppressing sales because of their personal biases, there would be HELL TO PAY. Shame we can't enlighten them...(anyone else notice that these lefty enclaves are generally staffed and managed by WOMEN? Hmmm...)
