chicken that was strapped to 100 helium balloons and sent skyward last weekend in a cruel stunt...

The is horrible. I have also heard of factories that slaughter tens of thousands of chickens every day. The carnage is horrendous. Chicken parts and blood are everywhere. It's sadistic.

Many paople also desecrate the carcasses of the poor creatures by cooking and eating them. It's sick!

I understand that after the police sniper shot out a number of the balloons, the chicken and balloons came down in some electric lines, and that power had to be shut off for 1800 homes in order to rescue the bird.

OK, folks, this is it - what we've all been fearing since 9/11. Imagine terrorists simultaneously launching thousands of chickens across the country, paralyzing every city and large town...it is time to regulate these dangerous balloons, to require purchase limits, waiting periods, closing the balloon-show loophole, registration, etc. I DEMAND BALLOON CONTROL!! Its for the children, don't you know. </dripping sarcasm>

Oh, and I believe that the chicken was a willing accomplice for this trial run. The bird is a terrorist and must be punished - fry it (preferably in a tasty batter).
