A little reported fact; at least some of the Chinese troops who fought India in '62 came through Burma / Myanamr. India has good reasons to fear this portal. If not successful with diplomacy, India ought to consider a much more aggressive stance at the Burmese border equivalent to what we now see at the LOC. Furthermore, if not done already, contingency plans should be set up for a major surge toward the NE and E, up to and including use of nuclear weapons, to meet the PLA head on in Myanmar and the northern areas of Thailand.

But instead of any of this, we've now apparently got Vijpayee gone wobbly on us, somehow bit by the G.W. Bush nice guy bug. He too has now seen someone's soul; in this case, Hu's. The last thing we need right now is softness toward the PRC on the part of India! When will the incompetence stop and how can we contain its spread? When India starts to become afflicted, you know we are in big trouble!
