You'd think that Doris Christopher would have thought about what pro-abort Buffet would be doing with the profits. Too bad she didn't do what Diane Keaton did in 'Baby Boom' and decide to keep the business she had built from scratch.

In matters of conscience, it often turns out that better blessings come about by "doing the right thing", even if it hurts at the time.

I was wondering why she would sell to him, too.

Citizen reports that Buffett's conglomerate, Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. -- owners of such well-known names as Dairy Queen, See's Candy, and Fruit of the Loom The Pampered Chef I can live without, but See's Candy? This is a nightmare. Can't he sell it?
To: Canticle_of_Deborah
bump to that!
To: Canticle_of_Deborah

My highest praise to those brave women of faith who are willing to stand on principle - even if it's to your own personal disadvantage. This is real-life integrity in action. Will some of you ladies run for Congress? We really need people like you instead of the sorry list of sellouts, weasels and cowards in the ranks of the Republican party. May He who owns the cattle on a thousand hills bless these courageous women and their families.

Dairy Queen?... (sigh) That does it!

I'm already missing Peanut Buster Parfaits.
< sigh >
I'll have to do without until somebody human buys the Dairy Queen franchises. I talked my then-ten-year-old son into boycotting McDonald's because of their connection to Tyson, and he hasn't had a McNuggett since 2001.
Bye-bye, Buster Bars. It's the least I can do.

Buffett has a pretty heavy stake in the Washington Post as well.

And I applaud the distributors for their principles. God bless them!
