Hil's shock and awe over Bill defies belief!! (O'Reilly)
New York Daily News ^ | 6/16/03 | Bill O'Reilly

Posted on 06/16/2003 9:33:59 AM PDT by Elkiejg

I've finally figured out the sphinx that is Hillary Clinton. It took me years, but I think I've solved the mystery based upon the best available evidence: her own words. The final clue in my piecing together this fascinating puzzle was the senator's mention of a meeting with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. That's when it all crystallized for me.

First, the setup. There is no way on earth that a woman as intelligent as Hillary Clinton could not have understood the weakness and the true character of her husband, even if he did look like a Viking at one time. Former President Bill Clinton is not a subtle man. He loves adulation, and he loves women. You don't need a Ph.D. to add it up.

And the figures appeared with regularity, beginning with his 1992 admission on "60 Minutes" that he had "brought pain to the marriage." I guess you could interpret the statement as Roger Clinton's being invited to the wedding, but that would be a stretch.

Anyway, over the years, various women showed up with mercenary tales of bad behavior by Bill. There were tape recordings, depositions and, finally, presidential admissions of fooling around. Barney Fife could have figured this one out. Bill Clinton liked the ladies, and his ability to resist temptation was, well, in the Jim Bakker category.

So for Hillary Clinton to claim she was shocked and awed by her husband's admission in the Monica Lewinsky affair is disingenuous and makes her look silly. If she didn't have suspicions in this matter, do we really want her protecting us from Al Qaeda?

The truth, as I see it, is that Hillary did not want to know about her husband's hobbies. She has made an accommodation that she has every right to make. Don't tell me Jackie Kennedy was clueless about JFK's antics. And even though Hillary claims the two talked about clothing, I'll bet you a peach pantsuit other subjects were broached in that conversation.

Look at it this way. Both Hillary and Jackie led charmed lives in the White House. They traveled the globe on private jets, met fascinating people and received the affection of the world. Both acquired fame, prestige and power, which Hillary, in particular, relishes. It was a wonderful life. Why disturb it with a close examination of your husband's conduct?

Millions of Americans have made the same tradeoff, and that is completely their business. But if you do enter into that bargain, don't play the victim when it blows up. I believe Hillary when she says, using the most unemotional cliche possible, that she wanted to "wring his neck." Sure she did. Because her husband had embarrassed her in front of the world. That was not part of the bargain.

The problem with Hillary Clinton is that she is putting forth a facade - she will not define herself as a real person. Thus, her enemies can continue to hammer her while her supporters paint her as a feminine icon, fighting the good fight. Both groups are wrong.

Sen. Clinton is simply a woman who wants power. That's it. And she is willing to make accommodations to secure that power. This is not unheard-of in the world of politics.

I'll back up my analysis by citing a question from Barbara Walters, who asked Hillary this: What if your husband does it again? Hillary didn't even pause: "That's between us," she answered. No emotion, no hesitation, no doubt.

Hillary Clinton is the most powerful woman in America. She has a chance to become President. She has two multimillion-dollar homes, a swanky office on Capitol Hill, a Praetorian Guard of Secret Service agents, a daughter who loves her and a fan base of millions.

Monica Lewinsky? Come on.

Below is an email I sent to O'Reill about his article:

Your assessment of Hillary is fairly accurate - except for: "The truth, as I see it, is that Hillary did not want to know about her husband's hobbies."

Hillary is and was always very much aware of Bill's behavior - dating all the way back before their marriage. There have been articles about her sending her father or one of her brothers down to Arkansas BEFORE their marriage to keep him in line and to keep her posted about his "activities". There have also been articles written about her and her cohort Betsy who worked for Bill in Arkansas. Betsy's main job was to keep the bimbos at bay, or usher them out the back door when Hillary came in the front door. At the same time and ever since their early days, Hillary's main job was to let loose her hit squad to smear, threaten, scare, etc., etc. any and all women who started to make noise about being abused by Bill.

So to say "she did not want to know" is not accurate. She knew alright - she was a willing player or enabler if you prefer.

O'Reilly writes: "various women showed up with mercenary tales of bad behavior by Bill"

O'Reilly, by that word, just called all the women Bill links up with "whores". O'Reilly, that is a cad's statement. Only a cad would so demean regular women, some in weakened and vulnerable condition, one at least a widow, many in subordinate positions where to be fair they would have been in fear of loss of their jobs, or other recrimination.

Yet to O'Reilly, Bill only picks on the willing, the mercenary, the whore. A cad's eye to see that, a cad's hand to write it, Mr. O'Reilly.

"So to say 'she did not want to know' is not accurate. She knew alright - she was a willing player or enabler if you prefer."

Of course she knew. The fact that the same people who labeled her the most intelligent woman in America are ALSO swallowing the fable that she was too blind and stupid to know that Bill messed around, without ever questioning the obvious contradiction, shows only that some of the public really ARE as stupid as Hillary! thinks they are.

Anyone who believes their marriage was anything other than a business arrangement to help them acheive their common goal of absolute power is likely to be part of the group described above.

In fact, anyone who believes the Smartest Woman in America could not recall anything about ANYTHING are ALSO part of the same group.

I loved Dole's commentary during his point-counterpoint session with Clinton on 60 Minutes (what can I say, my husband watches it). Bill mentioned something about people being able to learn or teach creative writing, don't recall the context, and Dole said something to the effect of "ask Hillary about that".

I have to almost think they set that one up deliberately, it was too perfect. Wish he'd been so forthcoming during the campaign in the 90's.

When it comes to Bill and Monica, I think that the correct expression would be "shock and jaw".

I think you are both right and wrong

She knew for sure, but she was not an "enabler" so much as she was enabled herself.

Every time the scumbag strayed, hillary led him by the balls to her agenda in return for her support.

Hillary didn't want to know about Bill's antics anymore than Bill wanted to know about Al-Qaeda's terrorism - because if they knew - then they would have to deal with it.

It wouldn't be so bad if only their lives were affected by their dysfunctional relationship.

With Hillary - it was actually a win-win situation for her when she caught him screwing around (unless America found out about him as in Monica) because as Dick Morris would say - when Hillary found out - she was then able to extract concessions from him for her own agenda - just as I'm sure other countries did as well....

even if he did look like a Viking at one time

Vikings were known for invading territory not their own and then raping and pillaging the natives.

Rape and Pillage... Sounds like Bill Clinton to me...

I think Hillary had Billy J pegged just right.

As a member of the Viking Kitties, I am utterly insulted.

Your kidding me right? Weakened women? These women had a desire to go after him. They weren't forced.. although they might of been lied to. But if any of them thought they were going to be the next Mrs. Clinton they were only diluding themselves. What a joke... these women aren't victims. They all wanted a piece of the pie, knew exactly what they were in for, and when scorned wanted to make in public for their own hateful purposes.

All anyone needs to read is one icy bold statement of response: "They weren't forced"

A delusion you may be "entertaining", that one. A lie, otherwise.

Uniformed State Troopers accompanying a lowly state worker to the Governor's Room -- her job, her life withour bother and official harrassement, is on the line, for in uniform representing the Governor directly the whole authority of the State of Arkansas was brought to bear against her. That act suppressed, by threat, any action, moral misgivings, eny sense she may have had of countering the flow of official authority which begged her "kiss it". He and they as his agents made her NOTHING before him, before the whole State's power bent in his carnal impulse. She had in such circumstance no sense of any power -- how could she? Against the uniforms, the guns, the Governor, for all hell!

There are others -- Clinton bit them down, forced them down like Morris said he jumped after him, certainly that CAD, Clinton would so leap after another hot desire to assert his POWER -- Clinton's "sex" is not about sex -- it is about power, indulgence, "wanting to feel your pain".
