Thanks for the ping.
There is so much information in this article, it could be the foundation for entire talk shows for days.
Surely there is more for a cable channel to talk about here than there is about Laci Peterson or Eric Rudolph, for example.
Every agency that was delighted to have an 'embedded' reporter for war coverage could have a team do exactly what Mark did. Unfortunately the truth is not attractive to the agendas of these news agencies.
I particularly like Steyn's idea of these NGOs as the real imperialists. Just imagine the film footage we would be seeing every day if the refugee camps had filled up. And yet there is NO MENTION of the fact that they are empty!

Nice touch! ( Comment attributed to Churchill on rule outlawing prepositions at the end of a sentence, "This is the sort of English up with which I will not put." )

I wonder why enterprising journalists don't go out into Iraq and get the real information. Why don't we hear more about life in Iraq now? I remember Rummy saying at a press conference that he had allowed the press to be imbedded so that they could see and report the truth of the war. He then implored the reporters to mingle with the Iraqis and interview them. But, since I have never seen a " man on the street" interview, I assume most reporters were called back or they are sitting in hotel rooms or bars.

...I noticed across the street a big, white sports utility - a sure sign that someone from the welfare jet set was in town... I darn near choked on my cereal reading this. Never, but never read Steyn while drinking or eating! Boy am I glad he's back!
To: MeeknMing
Thank goodness for Steyn !
I found this part interesting: Even that Iraqi National Museum "disaster" was an obvious hoax too bad the rest of the media hasn't caught up with this.
To: scriblett
Oh, yeah. Exactly. Saddam replaced a LOT of the looted treasures with fakes long before the war started and tucked the reals ones away for himself. You're right, the media never really pounded on THAT little bit of fact !!

Great Steyn!
But where are all the "other" reporters reporting these important findings? Is Steyn the only one with a pair of eyes?
