Dealing With Democrats

Dealing With Democrats Democrats are continuing to grouse about President Bush's decision last week to use a Viking jet to land on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln. Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe has issued this statement, "Considering the expense to the American taxpayer and use of American military men and women as 'extras' for this media stunt, the president should pledge that his landing not appear in any presidential campaign commercials and videos." McAuliffe also called Bush's choice "indefensible." The White House is about as likely to issue such a statement as Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., is to stop mentioning his service in Vietnam. And in fact, the White House is throwing the profligacy charge back at Democrats. White House spokesman Ari Fleischer claimed yesterday that the president actually saved taxpayers money. Fleisher said the Viking jet costs just $7 more to operate each hour than does a helicopter. Said Fleischer: "Given the fact that it actually takes a Viking less time to travel than a helicopter, you can do the math."

Clearly, the democRATs are complaining because Bush just looks better than any of them.

Gee, I don't recall Terry criticizing Clinton for his massively expensive overseas travels complete with an entourage of hundreds and Hillary's personal mobile throne/toilet...

You don't understand. Democrats think that Bush should labor intensely in the Oval Office, only leaving for occasional bonding trips with the leader of France and various other world troublemakers like Kim Jong Il. He should visit the civilized world of Europe more often, particularly the weasels, and aspire to become more "European," like the haughty left-wing French-looking distinguished Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who served in Vietnam.

Tell McAwful that Jeb is landing on a Carrier (USS George
Bush) in 2008 as he kicks off his Presidential campaign...
Brother "W" will be the pilot. Just think he should have
a little something to think about before he has his a$$
kicked again in 2004. Heeeehawww...Jake

What is an F-16 doing on a flight deck? The mods must have cost a fortune. Are the dim's paying for this? Every time I hear another squeak out of the rats on the Viking I know even more that GWB did the Right Thing.

It's driving them crazy and I have never enjoyed anything more. It was clear to anyone who cared to see it that the president was entirely at home with the men and women of the USS Lincoln and they with him, and that says some good things about a guy. Quite accidentally, I noticed he was quite handsome. ;-)

How come the demonrats aren't bitching about all the trips their beloved intern molester took. This same intern molester used the military for his own personal travel service yet I hear nothing about this and only about how GWB is using the military for his own political goals.

Mr. intern molester racked up 10s of millions of dollars in travel expenses (paid for by the taxpayers) jet-setting all over the planet. More overseas trips than any other president in history.

I say that prick clinton and his bitch wife should be tried for the murder of all the victims of 911 and then promptly executed.

Yeah, and with Bush, we know it is an American aircraft and an American flight suit. Who knows to what military or nation Leahy or most democrats pay allegance.

They continue to become more and more strident in their fear of another 4 republican years. This morning on the news the streaming below the picture was saying "Bush to speak will cost workers wages". It seems the CEO of the company he was speaking at told workers that if they went to see the president speak, they wouldn't be paid for the time or would have to make it up later. Now suppose that the CEO gave everybody the time off paid to go hear the president. The streaming would have read "Bush's crony pays workers to fake support for president's speech". I swear to God these people are dreadful. My worst nightmare is Maxine Waters in the White House.

My worst nightmare is Maxine Waters in the White House.

A horrifying thought to be sure. But rest assured it will never happen.

Bat boy has a better chance of being elected President. The first woman president will be a Republican, probably Condi Rice.

That's an F-16 in the background. I am pretty sure (damn sure) it can't land on a carrier. I also believe that CT has no Naval Aviation in the state for leaky to pander to.

The thought of a scary and dangerous carrier landing would probably keep a demoncrat from even thinking about it. Tanks and standing beside a stationary aircraft are more like their speed.

Hey leaky, take a submarine out for a nice deep ride and get a picture of you in a torpedo tube. Hint, go to New London and tell them you are a senator.

Ya know, I love Dubya as much as the next guy, and I think what he did was fantastic, but let's keep things in the realm of reality a tad, shall we? GWB flew F-102's in the Texas Air National Guard. He never went to Vietnam, nor was he certified for the newer fighters of his day.

That is not to diminish his accomplishments. Learning to fly a fighter jet of any sort is a challenging and difficult task. And at least GWB did not dodge his military duty and protest the US in a foreign country, like a certain ex-president I will not name. I just don't want to allow factual errors to get spread.
