The New York Times has become the official tribune of the Islamic republic regime's officials in order to spread the Clerical regime's views and propaganda.
The famous and well known newspaper which was known till now for its tendency to back the so-called "reformist" faction of the theocratic regime has broke all records and has published in its today edition, May 10th, an article written by an individual named "M. Javad Zarif".
This article is entitled as "A Neighbor's Vision of the New Iraq".
It is important to note that the New York Times Editor in Chief or the management of this US newspaper, who have always refused to bring to light the real situation in Iran or to publish articles written by Iranian dissidents, have not found necessary to point out who's M. Javad Zarif is or what is he representing.
But familiars of the Iranian affairs are well aware that M. Javad Zarif is no one else than the "Official Representative of the Islamic Republic Regime at the UN" and a colleague of its infamous Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi.
Both man were involved in the US Hostages affair of 1979 and linked to the commando which stormed the US Embassy in Tehran and took 52 diplomats as hostages.
Zarif and Kahrazi who have occupied the Iranian nation's seat at the UN, are on the list of criminals of the Islamic regime for their actions intending to hide the repressive nature of the theocratic administration and to have refused, for several years and till the increase of US pressures, the necessary entry visas for the UN Commission on Human Rights in order to visit Iran. In addition, the demagogue nature and the real agenda of the Islamic regime and its goals in Iraq are known to everyone except the management of the New York Times.
TOPICS: Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: clerics; iran; iranreform; mediabias; mouthpiece; newyorktimes; nyt; smccdi; southasia; studentmovement
The Student Movement is tired of the NYTimes hiding the truth from the world media. The Student Movement and the people of Iran no longer trust the "reform movement" nor the "hardliners." They want an entirely new government. They are calling for a referendum on a new constitution that is secular in nature. It appears that 70%+ of the Iranian people feel the same way. I spoke to someone recently in Iran and they claim it is a "smoldering fire quietly buring under the ash... and will soon explode."

It's true -- the NY Slimes is indeed a "propaganda machine" for radical Islam and secular Islamic dictatorships.

But it is great to hear some group in the middle-east charge the liberal media with supporting the oppressers of their nations.

But, but, but.....it's not politically correct to tell the truth!
I knew the war in Iraq would show light on the cockroaches, but more so than I ever thought it would. Jihad George Gallowsway, biased reporting, France, Syria and now Al-Jezeera & the NYT being dupes for the Islamo-fascist.

It certainly is. Leftist minds are being stretched to the limit these days, and their fragile nerves are near the breaking point. Their quandry is this: Either support a (despised) Republican administration that is successfully libertating oppressed peoples, or support the dictatorial oppressors themselves. Supporting neither just makes them look like they're supporting the latter. It's tearing them to shreds, and it's a beautiful thing to watch.

It would be great to hear their perspective. I have read stuff they produce that is more pro US than anything I've read from the US.

All the news that's fit to print? Let's face it, some things just don't "fit"...

Yep, that's the NYT's standarding operating procedure.

The NYTimes has fallen quite fast lately. It used to be only slightly to extremely liberal, lately it looks like it's fighting for the place formerly occupied by Pravda.
What a shame to watch it fall and lose it's prestige. Everyone is laughing at them now.

That is the best headline I've read in months!God speed to these brave new patriots. The press often refers to these Iranian students as "liberal" and the hardliners as "conservative" as a slander. Well if these students can smell what liberalism and its bias really means 8,000 miles away they are destined for the freedom and success they deserve!
No thanks to the press.

I say, GO GET 'EM! The NYT has NO claims to moral authority, and the level of truth to be found in their reporting sinks lower and lower. The "paper of record" is being destroyed by ideological leftists, enemies of freedom everywhere, and the rest of us need to point that out every chance we get.

Life is full of these little quandaries, innit? These are what reveal the inner character which is hidden behind the pompous rhetoric. The way I read this situation is: The NYT (the voice of the leftist establishment) has no basic problem with Islamic (or Marxist, or any other) tyranny, and their affectation to despise it is window dressing. When a tyranny suddenly enters the ring against their REAL enemy, you see what they REALLY hate.

And out of it strangely, if it is done right, may come an anchor of stability sorely needed in the Middle East.
