Someone had a pic of Red Queen Hillary, Chels and the Toon on an aircraft carrier the other day..

There's also a pic of Hillary (and maybe Tipper) at the helm of an attack submarine. It turned up here back when the USS Greenville incident was in the news.

So, Joe, are you inferring that Clinton had his photo-ops, not on real ships, but on some movie stage? huh huh huh?

With all the Dems yammering about Bush's flight to the Lincoln, I went to the Corbis photo site, and did a search for [ Clinton Aircraft Carrier ].

Barf alert, of course.

From Neal Boortz:

President Bill Clinton on the USS Roosevelt

Now what was that you guys were saying? A President should not use the military for a photo op?

Am I having memory problems or did the Toon actually go visit a carrier himself?

FYI...William J. Clinton (1992-2001)

Carrier Carl Vinson (1993; 1995)
Carrier George Washington (1994)
Carrier Independence (1996)
Carrier Harry S. Truman (1998)

Here’s a small Clinton ‘military compilation of various threads on the FR forum

Dems Attack Bush's Use of Aircraft Carrier for Speech

Naaaaaaaaah, the Dem's wouldn't do that.

Presidential visits to Navy ships

President Clinton piped aboard the USS Independence, April 17, 1996.

"On the Senate floor Tuesday, Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.) questioned "the motives of a desk-bound president who assumes the garb of a warrior for the purposes of a speech."

I guess that nobody remembers when Bill Clinton wanted to have a "photo op" with the Navy at Vietnam where the American flag was to fly lower than the Vietnam flag?

AUGUST 23 2000: American flag dips to Vietnam, China? Naval officers claim Clinton to change regulation to placate totalitarian regimes

AUGUST 25 2000: Navy deniesflag allegations Says Clinton won't changeregulations to placate communists

SEPTEMBER 18 2000: Clinton finally makes it to Nam?

OCTOBER 15 2000: Navy flag-lowering plan confirmed CINCPACFLT officer: 'There was a proposal to change the regulations'

OCTOBER 16 2000: Flag flap follow up

DECEMBER 18 2000: Justice confirms Navy flag flap Islands' top judge corroborates high-level talks to placate communists

DECEMBER 18 2000: Flag-flap vindication

So, Bush has a photo op on an American carrier where he evokes pride in our accomplishments and the Democrats cry fould, yet Clinton attempted to stage a Navy photo op where he diminishes the Navy and makes them subordinate to a dictatorial regime.

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of D-Day aboard the U.S.S. George Washington off the coast of Normandy, France, June 6.

No photo ops there!

The more apt analogy would be for Clinton to visit a strip club and make a major policy speech. That would be totally expected and in character, just as Bush's foray to the Lincoln.

Certainly is ridiculous. Clinton got in enough trouble just sitting in his chair in the Oval Office. He didn't need to jet set. He got what he wanted there.

I seem to recall that incident and if I remember correctly there were stories that a number of items, such as towels, hats, etc., were missing.

It's all the internet's fault (per Hillary). If it weren't for the internet, all these vicious, lying pictures and truths wouldn't be circulating, and the Dims could spin like they used to.

MEMORANDUM FOR ALL STAFF WHO STAYED ON THE USS GEORGE WASHINGTON

FROM:

    ISABELLE R. TAPIA

    MICHAEL R. LUFRANO

    OFFICE OF SCHEDULING AND ADVANCE

RE: Reimbursement for Items Removed from the Ship

The executive officer of the USS George Washington has relayed that a number of items were removed from Staterooms on the ship during the White House visit. The following items are unaccounted for:

13 Blue Towels with GW Insignia $11 each

4 GW Bathrobes with Insignia $35 each

12 Plain White Bathrobes $15 each

    55 White Towels $1.80 each

As you know, the ship and the U.S. Navy served as our gracious hosts during this trip. They provided these items for our use, not as souvenirs. They have requested reimbursement of $562 from the White House for the above items.

If you are responsible for removing one or more of these items from the ship, please remit payment to Michael Lufrano in Room 185 of the OEOB. Make any checks payable to the USS George Washington. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call either of us at 456-7560 or Capt. Rogers at 456-2150.

"Am I having memory problems or did the Toon actually go visit a carrier himself?"

One occasion he visited a carrier was right after the fifty-year memorial of the Normandy landing of WW2. He was heard to say how he has always "loved the military so much." (barf!)

All the crew was warned that they were not to talk with him nor ask him any questions.

Quite a telling difference from President Bush's visit.
