Yeah I know what you mean...I'm in Western OK but family is in OKC.
It's right over Tinker now and they say it's a very violent tornado.
Unconfirmed report that GM plant was hit.

Anny,
I have the scanner operational. The Tulsa NWS has the spotters activated and on the road.
I am in Bartlesville. Where are you located?

I'm not sure about NE Oklahoma.
Buildings and autos (semi's) along Sooner Road heavily hit.

Check the Weather Channel, live from OKC. It looks like IF the cell holds together, Tulsa MAY be in the path of the cell.

We live about 35 miles east/southeast of OKC (just north of Shawnee)...I don't think he took the cell phone with him either. He is with a friend though and he carries one, so if they need to they can call.
The GM plant? Oh man, what a mess that could be! And there are a ton of car dealerships over in the Tinker Area too, so that could be another disaster waiting to happen. OTOH, we are planning on trading in my car next month for a minivan, maybe a tornado special :)
