Just heard on Foxnews that actor Robert Conrad (Wild Wild West, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Will (G. Gordon Liddy story)) was scheduled to be arraigned on the 6th on felony drunk driving charges related to an auto accident where the other driver was severly injured. That arraignment has been postponed, according to his wife, because he is still partially paralyzed from the accident.
He played G. Gordon Liddy in the TV Movie from his autobiography, and has apparently kept in touch. He also starred in one of my favorite TV shows from my childhood, Wild Wild West. I loved his reaction to Will Smith being cast in the movie. He objected, not because Smith is black, but because he obviously wouldn't be doing his own stunts (which was the hallmark of the TV show, he has the broken bones to prove it). His choice to play West? Jackie Chan, of course :)
God speed Mr Conrad. I'll be praying for your recovery.

I liked all his shows. I'm sorry he's not well, and especially sorry that someone I've admired is a dangerous drunk driver.

He played Liddy in a movie (where the hell was I)? My dad and I watched "The WW West" every Friday night when I was a kid. Very cool series.
Any chance that "Will" is available in video? I know . . . search Amazon!

Chances are pretty good you have admired lots of dangerous drunk drivers in your life. It just doesn't make news very often. Especialy those that haven't been caught yet.

Cool guy. I worked with his stepfather at a Chicago radio station in the 80's. The two of them gave me a ride home in below zero weather during one of his visits to Chicago.

Lemme seer if I get this right...
Bob C. is arrested for felony DUI...check.
Why was he arrested?
His impairment caused an accident...check.
...in which the other driver was severely injured. Check.
And the responsible party GETS ALL THE SYMPATHY?. Check, I guess...
Maybe they should've booked the victim because he's not an
actor, he's ACTUALLY half dead...and that's never as good as fakin' for the camera.
Oh, My America, what's with thee these days?!?!?!?!

My mom was absolutely in love with Robert Conrad! I, too, fell in love with him watching his old movies. He was just dreamy in Palm Springs Weekend- a movie, ironically, where he hits a guy while driving drunk. Hope he recovers and seeks treatment for his drinking problem.

I don't think people lack sympathy for the victim. We just liked Conrad and are sorry to see him doing something wrong.
He should pay his dues just like anybody else.
