No wonder Dubya was so happy reliving his jet flying days in college..

Sounds wonderful but.......
World Tribune is filled with fairy tales.

[Al Hayat] quoted Pakastani military sources as saying Osama Bin Laden could have been one of the Al Qaeda leaders siezed by the United States. To be filed in the same place as DEBKA quoting a friend of Batboy.

I don't know the reliability of the World Tribune but I seriously doubt UBL will be taken alive. He's the one AQ leader that won't raise his hands in surrender like all the other self-proclaimed AQ martyrs do when cornered. Of course, this assumes that UBL is still alive.

Yes, and they could have captured Elvis. Or Judge Crater. Or Amelia Earhart. Maybe all four of them. If Judge Crater is a tenor, they've got themselves one hell of a barbershop quartet.

It is impossible to know if this is true or not. I hope it is.
One possible motive for this story appearing today is to create the expectation that President Bush will announce the capture of Bin Laden in his speech tonight. Then, when he doesn't, the Left can claim some sort of small victory.
On the other hand, maybe the story is true and President Bush (and the rest of the citizens of the United States) will claim a great victory tonight.

Hope springs eternal. But give the story till 1200EDT. If no one else picks it up it's DEBKA-like junk, but if someone else looks into it or mentions it then we may have something. Remember that Bush is speaking today. He may deal with more than Iraq. We can hope.

I'd be happy if we capture someone we know is alive-- Mullah Omar, who is living it up in the home of some wealthy pro-terrorist Pakistani.
