Could a stray cat have been responsible for the yellow crystals?

That is so wierd. There is a big mess at Grand Central Station (Anthrax Scare). I am looking at the local news but nothing yet. I am assuming it is a false alarm but it really messes things up.

Gilbert Post Office Evacuated
Gilbert post office evacuated; substance found, 3 workers ill
Patricia Biggs
The Arizona Republic
Apr. 29, 2003 10:45 AM
Authorities evacuated the Gilbert Post Office Tuesday morning after a yellow, crystallized substance was found inside a package-holding bin and several workers complained of difficulty breathing.
Several workers who were in the area were isolated and three were taken to a hospital, according to Capt. Robert Foster, spokesman for the Gilbert Fire Department.
"One of the workers found it (the substance), felt difficulty breathing and notified someone," Foster said.
The postal service facility is located at 137 E. Elliot Road, near Val Vista Drive.
Check back later for more details.

People need to stop crying wolf.
Though it is the duty of the Post Office and Fire Department (as well as other agencies) to be involved in suspicious events, the media blowing things out of proportion is STUPID and DANGEROUS.
People will become numb, and start ignoring such events.

Actually they didn't blow anything out of proportion, this time. They broke in with the story, said what they know (very little), and went on to other stories. Not like the Oregon story last week which they covered non-stop until, and after, the test results came back negative. I'd rather they report the story so we know what's going on, than not say anything until it could possibly be too late.
