OK, and does she ADVOCATE the peasant's point of view? Or is she like the flaming liberal history professor I had years ago who taught the Republican point of view like this: "The French aristocracy before the revolution was completely out of touch with their people and the world, just like the Republican party today."
One can teach ABOUT something all day long; students need to learn about the different points of view from the perspective that they are both valid.

I wonder how much of this is self-selection. The study ignored the sciences and applied departments. How many Republicans actually want to be faculty members in the humanities? This probably has a lot to do with the leftward trend on many campuses.

In the early sixties Ithaca College was confined to some decaying buildings in the downtown area. It was hardly recognizable as a college. Then a brilliant president somehow did some land deals that made them wealthy enough to build an impressive new campus on South Hill. They used to specialize in music, physical education, and theatre. I don't know what has been happening there lately.
