You'll be lucky to find any livestock in that barn. That is a situation that should have been tended to years ago.

You are much too kind to the endemically self-serving who comprise the systemically-corrupt nasa.

Those creeps just don't care what the every-bit-as-abjectly-corrupt russians -- many of whom live in mansions built with the confiscated wealth of America's long suffering Taxpayers -- do with the nasa-squandered money.

Just so long as it keeps nasa's otherwise deservedly unemployed looking "busy."

I am not part of the fundraiser here. Just an ordinary American, who believes in individual Liberty, and Freedom.

I guess I've been around here for about 5 years or so now. Time sure flies!

When Jim Robinson started this site, it was because he was fed up with the liberal media, and how they would not let people worldwide know about the corruption of the Clinton Administration. A few of us, equally concerned, (with great luck) found it fast.

In the early days, FR was a day-to-day operation, always on the brink of bankruptcy. Jim kept on, and we chipped in when it became too much. We knew how important this site was, and is. Sometimes, it came down to the wire, and we wrote checks, and sent them in, as best we could.

Look at it now. We all get our best information from this site. It is huge, with thousands of posters, and millions of readers. Yet Jim still keeps it alive because of his conviction, and he is absolutely NOT making a profit on it. He just believes. As do we.

BTW, did you know that the founder of this site is in a wheelchair (sorry Jim; I know you think it doesn't make a r*ts a$$ difference. Hey, some folks out there need to come down a peg, like I have.).

Think of it! In the darkest days of the Clinton Administration, there was a lone internet site where people with integrity, brains, and sheer gumption could discuss the dangers faced by the US. Not on CNN, for sure.

Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.

The opposition checks it out, too. Like the NY times staff, CNN, etc. Trust me, they all come here to read. Even YOUR post. You know by now how they are whining about Rush? We're next, as soon as they figure out how they can trash this site without it getting a million hits.

I've been broke; I've been not broke. I've slept in my car. I know how it feels to be squeezed tight with bills. Folks with giant bills: You're not alone, and you have friends here. :)

If you love this site as much as I do, please, please sign up for automatic payment of just $3 per month. Don't be embarrassed if you think this is too little. It absolutely is not. You $3 a month folks are our grassroots movement heroes. Be proud. Become one of the thousand points of light here, and you will so feel proud every month. We'll thank you for it, and are so glad to have you on board.

I know things are rough out there. But you are tough, and a member of the greatest grassroots freedom movement in 100 years. Together we are making history, and will change the world, as we already have. The best is yet to come.

Many countries out there would consider this website illegal. They hate us, for our freedom. Their systems cannot stand, in the face of Freedom. The people there read us when they can, when they are “allowed” to, and are not being tortured. They flock to us, America, because they want to be free. Help us help them.

Would you please, please consider signing up for just $3 a month? Please? That’s all it takes, really, believe it or not. You will make a world of difference, to, well, the world. Be proud, Americans, and please help out!

This article is rather myopic in a number of ways! The most overt example of this is how it says that Russia's weapons stockpile should be secured. A simple statement ....easy to understand since it is totally straightforward!

But the billion dollar question is this: How exactly is that going to be done? By sending in M1A2 Abrams tanks into Moscow like was done in Baghdad? By sending B-2 bombers to drop multiple JDAMs on hub points? Maybe by sending a couple of carrier groups to engage all viable targets?

Or maybe by threatening to nuke the Ruskies unless they cede their WMDs to us?

Well .....one little factor seems to have been ignored by whoever penned that article. Russia is the only nation in the world that has the capability to make the United States cease to exist as an efficable nation-state ......and it can do this in 35 minutes (although i believe the new Topol-M ICBMs can cut down that time by around 6 minutes).

And yes .....we also have the capability to wipe them out too, however we would also bite the bullet at the same time. And yes, they know that if they attacked us they would also disappear, but again the rules of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) apply.

Now, maybe the person who penned the article asusmes that Russia will let American troops storm into its weapon facilities and destroy its nuke options ....and do nothing!

Who knows .....maybe the author also left some chocolotae easter eggs for the tooth fairy tonight!

Russia is no longer the USSR .....its military mass is significantly leaner. However that mass is becoming more professional by the year (as compared to the era of soviet conscripts), and although many are quick to comment on 'decaying' ex-Soviet ships and missiles it seems no one wants to comment on the billions (where the money comes from is a joke most would nto laugh at) being poured into advanced attack systems like the Topol-M ICBM.

And even without all of that Russia still has thousands of nuclear weapons ....and all can be re-programmed in a couple of minutes to target key targets in the US and its allies.

Now ......what do you think if suddenly the Russian Rocket Forces (who oversee its nuke forces) were to detect an american army heading for it? Maybe they may decide to lay down their weapons and start looting shops like the Iraqis were doing. Or maybe, just maybe, they may decide that they shall go out with a bang ....and take us out with them.

I personally think the author is confusing Russia with some nation like Iraq.

Russia may appear weaker ....but it is not weak. There is a big difference between the words weaker and weak. And cornering the Russians may be tantamount to cornering a rabid bear ......not nice.

But hey ....maybe the tooth fairy will turn all the Russian nukes into borscht and country-gravy!

RE your post 10:

You are right about the residual and strategic strength of Russia. I think, for the moment, our goal should be to make life very painful for proxy states. In other words, we should make the transfer, potential use, and god forbid, actual use, of WMD capabilities by proxies very unhealthy. That way, Russia and China cannot pretend to befriend us while attacking us, and would have to declare their opposition directly. They would not be able to gain the benefits of trade, weapons "control" payments, and the like, while still threatening us through countries like Syria, NK, Iraq (well, not anymore), Iran, and non-state resident terror groups.

Other than that policy, I'm a bit stumped on strategy. We can't go into Russia and China and make them sane and non-WMD possessing. MAD still exists.
