Sheesh. I thought they had all run away. The Iraqis didn't need em anyhow. They have a whole country full of women and children.

Were these the ones stationed in the day care center (located in the middle of a AAA battery) or the ones shielding the orphanage (in the middle of the city dump where the entrance to Saddam's WMD Arsenal Bunker is)??

Whatever the Iraqi minister says, I believe the opposite is true. In any case, any person who deliberately places himself in front of a legitimate military target had better have his affairs in order, 'cause he himself becomes a legitimate target. I can't believe the delusional self-importance of some of these human shields..."Surely my very presence will prevent the U.S. military from targeting this chemical-weapons plant." Bah!

unsure .. DisinfoSmurf was not clear .. he merely said that an Am,erican aircraft had "attacked" two busses between Baghdad and Amman .. and that, amongst the 40 on board were Human Shiwelds.

My gut reaction would be the Iraqis blew up the busses, and then blamed the Coalition .. but we will have to wait and see.

Those lines in Clay Black's new song seem appropriate:

It may be a smart bomb,
but it finds stupid people too,
If you stand with the likes of Saddam,
then one might just find you.

Seems I remember a story yesterday about Iraqi's in Amman that were on their way to Baghdad to fight for Saddam. Two busses full. Could it be these guys?

I believe them to be arrogant if they believe a Western life is worth more than an innocent Iraqi life. We have seen the Irakis are ambushing our troops from ambulances. They put civilians lives in danger by suicide bombing as we cannot allow a car to proceed after warning shots are fired and the car won't stop.

The "human shields vermin" were on a bus between Jordan and Baghdad?  Could it be these jihadists:

Iraqi men leave Jordan on free trip to Baghdad, vowing to "liberate" Iraq

I tawt I taw a ……....poof!

Indian Muslim Suhail Rokadia displays a stuffed Tweety Bird toy, which he plans to give to children in Iraq, at his shop in Bombay March 27, 2003. The 30-year-old toy importer is one of seven human shields scheduled to leave for Iraq to defend civilians from the U.S.-led war in the country. The group, the first from India, will fly on Sunday to Jordan before travelling by road to Baghdad. The human shields hope their presence at the Iraqi sites will deter U.S.-led forces from destroying the nation's infrastructure and raise global awareness of the cost to civiliars of the war. entirely possible ... although why there would be 'human shields' on busloads full of wannabe fighters is an interesting question.

I, quite frankly, believe virtually nothing that the Iraqi (dis)information minister says ... and will wait until we get something out of Qatar.

But if I HAD to bet on the likely scenario, I'd blame the Baathists for attacking the busses.
