Why do the French make things so easy for me? Have you heard this one?

Never mind that France wanted nothing to do with getting rid of Saddam and wants everything to do with rebuilding Iraq after Saddam. Here's the kicker: France says Britain and the U.S. should not have a role -- it's up to the United Nations to decide.

So, let me see if I've got this right. France offered not one soldier, not one plane, not one tank, or ship, convoy or grenade. Not one missile. Not one drop of blood.

At least, not against Iraq.

France is waiting with a worm on its tongue (baited breath.) They know that when the smoke clears the world will learn of how much they supported Saddam's terrorism. They are scared spitless of what will be found marked "made in France." Now, I just remembered that I have a chunk of brie in the fridge. Time to clean the fridge.

It is obvious to me that, when the records and evidence are in at the end of this war, that Iraqi bribe money flowed freely to Chirac and his party.

In the 60's while the US had military bases in France, French made it mandatory for dependents of US servicemen to carry ID cards issued by the French so that they could be identified as American citizens. The card the French issued to the dependent American women and female children was the same one they issued to prostitutes.

Many of the servicemen I served with that had been stationed in France when we pulled out of that country hated the French for their disrespect and arrogance exhibited toward US citizens.

That's really unfair to the French. We don't really know that they didn't offer all of these things to Saddam.

Well, it doesn't really matter. What Chirac should realize, and won't, is that his great-grandchildren will be speaking Arabic, and the girls will be running around in bedsheets, but c'est la vie! (Which roughly translates as "What the hell!".)

Would someone please launch a Tomahawk into the Eiffel Tower?

It would keep the U.N. bottled up for months. Think of the comedy. Hans Blix could inspect the damage.

We would of course have to veto any resolution that condemned us for firing the missile. :-)

Ohhh contraire pierre! The frogs ran around iraq selling military spare parts just before the war. Let's break them!! I was going to buy a pair of frog/weasel skiis before this but not now. My GD wife came home with some of their poison water which I promptly used to clean my patio. She now has the message.

It is obvious to me that, when the records and evidence are in at the end of this war, that Iraqi bribe money flowed freely to Chirac and his party.

And Turkey was allegedly warned to turn down the use of our bases at the last moment by threats from France and Germany about Turkey joining the EU. Chirac publically threatened Eastern Eurpean countries with loss of membership because they signed a letter supporting the U.S. It's going to take a lot of investigation, and who knows if we can ever get to the bottom of that cesspool.
