U.S. forensics experts and mortuary personnel are now trying to determine the identities of the dead soldiers. But officials fear the worst.I have a feeling they already know.

Daschle is "saddened" that the US would believe such nonsense.

I would not go quite that far. I think the religion of Islam has a Saddam Hussein Islamo-facist-terrorist wing with definite ties to the NAZI blueprint on how to keep the population down. Maybe a tinge of NAZI super race ideology without the trinkets. But Saddam is a muslim of convience.

Friends of the French and German people tortured and killed my countrymen and women.
Because of the continual violations of numerous UN resolutions France, Germany, Russia and China made it necessary for these young people to go and risk their lives to rid the world of another butcher.
I will never forget nor shall my children.

>>>This has all been discussed before (the battery part), and the reporter still needs to get a clue. How does having a battery next to a bed = "electrically torture prisoners"?
This is easy. All you need is a battery, car ignition coil, a switch and steel/metal bed springs. Lie down, I will strike the match.

Charley..
It is done and has been done in many past wars. It is used when you want to inflict pain but not kill the prisoner.

How many reasons can you actually think of for having a car battery next to a bed? Get real.

IRAQIS SAVED BY AMERICA (as is our way)
US Navy able seamen saved the Iraqi sailors from this sinking/sunk Iraqi fishing vessel, the Kaptain Muhamad.
Heroes on the Navy Destroyer USS Gary in the southern Gulf took time out
to respond to a radio distress call rescuing eight Iraqi fishermen..
Would the Iraqis have done the same?
Heroes of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit
giving water to a dehydrated Iraqi. Would they do the same?.
In the desert, American valiant heroes treat Iraqi POWs with respect (unlike the evil Iraqis)..

Pray for all our POWs and Heroes.

No, I'm sorry, but I agree with the poster you addressed: Islam, by and large, intends to pick up where the Nazis left off.

Ramsey Clark says revelations about torture in Saddam's Iraq are merely US propaganda.
Ramsey Clark - "Saddam Not Brutal"
The antiwar leader said that other accounts from Iraqi defectors who have described Saddam's brutality, as well as reports of terrorist training operations inside Iraq, were probably false.
[snip]
"You have to be careful about who you're talking to. I also recognize propaganda. And I hear more garbage and propaganda coming out about how evil the Iraqi people are." He then chastised radio host Siegel for spreading accounts of Saddam's brutality, complaining, "I think you're just fantasizing with propaganda. It shows your own hatred and narrow-mindedness."

A 12 volt car battery cannot injure anyone with it's 12 volts, but it can be hooked to other wires wrapped around someone's body, which are then HEATED until glowing RED, with the high amperages it can produce.
Does this answer your incredibly biased question?
As GW so succinctly put it, "Every atrocity has confirmed the justice and urgency of our cause."

Way too broad a brush for me.
But I concede you the point that the NAZI's play book is a big part of Saddam's regime.

Well, I don't know about you, but I have been bit by a 12 volt car battery. While it can't kill you or cause permanent damage, it does hurt like hell. You definitely know something has gotten ahold of you. A car battery would make a great torture device. Attaching it to sensitive areas of the human body would cause extreme pain and discomfort. I wouldn't want to be strapped to a metal bed frame that was hooked to a car battery. I can only imagine the horrible pain that would cause.

Burns leave marks for a long time. The idea is to torture without bruising. See post #9. There is a better way, and it is worse than burns.
