**********You are reading a SC HOTLINE EXCLUSIVE!!**********
Paul Allen, an associate professor of English at the College of Charleston, sent the following email to the organizer of the "support our troops" rally that was held there last Friday. He stated he wished Bush, Cheney and Ashcroft should be caught and tried at the Hague. Below is a copy of the email that was forwarded to us. He replied to the entire College of Charleston email network. This email was in response to an email that was sent to him inviting him to the rally.
Here is Paul Allen's website: http://www.cofc.edu/~allenp/yourpage.html.
From: Paul Allen [mailto:allenp@cofc.edu] Sent: Friday, March 21, 2003 4:39 PM To: biernbaumc@cofc.edu Cc: FacultyandStaff@cofc.edu; enrl-ml@admin.cofc.edu; genr-ml@admin.cofc.edu Subject: Re: Supporting our Troops & our President
Now that the war has started, Chip, I do support our troops. I pray that that the war is quickly over, that there are as few casualities [sic.] as possible, and that our young men and women will come to peace--knowing that they have done they're duty. However, your invitation asks us to support Bush, and that I cannot do. I wish he, Cheney, and Ashcroft would be captured and tried at the Hague. But I do wish you well in supporting the troops.

Aside from his obvious empty-headed leftist ideas, the associate professor of English can't spell worth a hoot.
It's FReep time!

Yet another leftist who doesn't know who the real enemy is. None of them can get past the last presidential election. For them, it's about hating Bush more than Saddam.

My my he doesn't sound very tolerant.

I don't know their tenure track, but let's hope that associate professors aren't tenured, and popular outcry forces this guy to the "Help Wanted" ads. And at his next job, he can ask "Would you like fries with that?"

Actually, what he's asking for is a U.S. invasion of the EU and the Netherlands.

I stumbled across SC Hotline during the 2000 presidential primaries. I've always enjoyed it.

What does Ashcroft have to do with this war? Nothing as far as I can tell.
To: wimpycat
I suppose this kind of stuff has the approval of the board of directors at the college as well as the alumni associations?

A wh*re should be judged by the same criteria as other professionals offering services for pay -- such as dentists, lawyers, hairdressers, physicians, plumbers, etc. Is she professionally competent? Does she give good measure? Is she honest with her clients?
It is possible that the percentage of honest and competent wh*res is higher than that of plumbers and much higher than that of lawyers. And enormously higher than that of professors.
