JH2: A nice response to another stupid salvo from Bill Gates, Sr. and his partner. This whole crusade by Gates (Sr. and Jr.) reflects this great faith in the Federal Government to spend people's money better than the individuals who earned it. It also probably reflects the Gates' belief in "command and control" systems: there is an elite (government) best suited to make decisions for the little people. It worked at Microsoft, so why shouldn't it work in government.

Maybe Bill Gates (Jr.) should follow this idea and distribute the Tens of Billions of $ Microsoft has retained to its owners (the shareholders)? Why should Microsoft have this unfair benefit of all this wealth retained and available to dominate its markets? Hand out that money to the shareholders!!!!! Oh, forget about the double-taxation -- the shareholders won't care about that, and it will be a nice windfall for the Federal Government! It will help the economy and the deficit problem!
