What kind of patriotic music? I live right down the road in Dilworth - and am willing to bring my acoustic guitfiddle - if there's someone to jam with. Maybe we can also redo the lines to some old anti-war songs, to stick it to the Left. :^)

I am NOT bringing my trombone.

Well, I'll bring it but I won't play it.

Are we going to have dignitaries? I like dignitaries. Mayor Pat? Dan Ramirez? Mel Watt? (ha!)

Are we going to have dignitaries? I like dignitaries.

Jim Snyder gave an excellent speech at ours.

So did John Armor (Congressman Billybob) and NC Sen. Patrick Ballantine (Senate Republican Leader).

The speech that was most moving was presented by Maha Alattar, an Iraqi refugee.

I think you mean:

So did John Armor (Congressman Billybob) and NC Sen. Patrick Ballantine (2004 Gubernatorial candidate -- "I put the 'goober' in gubernatorial").

I'd rather have Vernon Robinson than Jim Snyder, bless his heart.

Well - good idea - but I can't go this Sunday to be there at 1. I am sure there will be future rallies! But, hey, maybe Goosie and others would like to go?

I think you mean:...

There's no accounting for taste, and I *meant* what I posted.
I think either mykdsmom or dei23 may have tried to get Vernon Robinson to attend, BTW.

Oh, I like PB-tine well enough, but I was surprised when I first saw him on TV. He IS a goober. I'm not sure he'd be the best candidate for goobernor but he's far from the worst.

I have to admit I didn't know much about Ballantine until I heard him on Jerry Agar (680 AM, Raleigh) a while back.
At least he's not Mike "Taxes" Easley.

I think you mean (yes, I'm going to try again): "Tax-Hike Mike" Easley.

(I don't think the 'easily' thing works well)

I'm comparing PB-time (heh heh) to Dick Vinroot, Walter Jones, et al.

Hey guys! We have a wonderful lineup of people for this rally in Charlotte. Mayor Pat McCrory, Congresswoman Sue Myrick, Congressman Robin Hayes, Commissioner Dan Ramirez, Tim Lee (an evangelist and former Marine who lost his legs in Vietnam...never a former Marine I suppose) and others.
We are getting pretty good press coverage, now that they have the date right!
We are hoping for a great turnout so bring your family and friends!
