Posted on 03/15/2003 2:10:29 PM PST by SolutionsOnly

I want to ask you French folks something: What gives? Why would you prefer to side with a Germany — a country that destroyed you — than countries like the United States and Britain that saved you?

Boycotting France has limited effect. Anyone want a slightly used Mercedes C-320? I think we CAN hit the Germans where they live though, -at the VW & Mercedes Dealerships. Oh yes, -and any airline flying AIRBUS equipment.

French Products and Companies to Boycott

A list of French companies products to boycott. Some are well known, but many are not. Here goes.

The gang at FrogWeenies (www.metrospy.com) notes: "France's behavior in front of the UN has been disgraceful. Their attempts to block, veto and prevent the US lead military action in Iraq does not promote peace, it simply reinforces the will of tyrants and terrorists."

It lists French products to boycott. You will probably be surprised to learn the French own everything from Wild Turkey to Car & Driver to Motel 6 to cheesy Spencer Gifts to disgusting Democrat schlock-show host Jerry Springer.

He should blast France but I don't accept the reasoning stated in the headline. Allies come and go over time. They should support us not just out of debt (we owe them too) but because it's the right thing to do for France over the long term. France should do what's best for them and cozying up with terrorist-helping dictators is the root cause of what's wrong with their position.

... and since France is a member of the Security Council it should also do what's best for the world. They have an added responsibility which they are ignoring.

Since it's obvious we're going in one way or the other, I wonder why France continues their frantic, but pointless, efforts to block the U.S. and U.K. at the U.N.

I know all the reasons in the media and discussed on this board...but to say there will not be a deadline for war ever is beyond anything I can fathom.

"at the VW & Mercedes Dealerships"

And the Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge dealerships. They are all part of the Daimler family now.

Don't forget that Mitsubishi is largely owned and controlled by DaimlerChrysler.
And Don't forget BMW and Porsche are also German.

And Audi. I've written all German and French companies off of my list. And that's a shame because Grundig makes a fine SW radio.

France is continuing to obstruct and interfere because Fina and their defense industry will be left holding worthless paper in the billions of dollars. They will not collect on the oil or arms sent and we will lock them out of the rebuilding project. The only thing we should do is dig up our dead in France, move them back home and tell them to go get their oil elsewhere. And while we're at it, sign mutual defense agreements with every non-frog Carribbean island surrounding their colonies just to piss them off some more.

Well if you are going to Seperate VW and Audi... then you need to add Skoda and Seat to your list of automakers that you will avoid. Then the Frenchies would be Citroen, Puegeut, Renault... it could get very ugly, very fast.

France is a write-off. The very reason for the existence of the European Union is to counter the USA as an economic and military power. Maybe at first just economically, but the rest would come. Socialist hugging-France and Germany never learned that Socialism isn't a good foundation to compete with a Capitalistic society. They can't compete on any real basis so the next best thing is to publically humiliate us. Forget the fact that we saved their sorry dirty French *sses in WWII or that we've proven a good friend to France on countless occassions. Their interests are only to serve themselves. Now it's time to allow them to rely on themselves.

You are correct and it is going to get very ugly. I heard on the radio this afternoon on a local show that they heard (sorry, third party stuff) that the frogs were refusing to serve Americans at their cafes in Paris and at some restraunts spitting in the food. This is going to get very, very, very ugly.

Well, if they are harassing Americans and spiting in the food... the only thing that we can do is not go there. Don't give them your hard earned money... as sad as it sounds, just boycot the country.
