Has anyone noticed the UN doesn't seem to realize North Korea exists on this planet?

Isn't it odd that they all demand that we ask every peabrain country on earth if it's okay to go into Iraq, but they all want us to negotiate with North Korea one on one?

Perhaps someone should slip Kofi a note.

I imagine it will have to be a pretty big "note" as in cashier's check.

Okay, here's one excerpt from the UN Charter:
  1. WE THE PEOPLES OF THE UNITED NATIONS DETERMINED to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained,

What a paradox! If the US acts, it violates the UN charter, if it doesn't act, it violates the UN charter! What to do, what to do.... The UN is a dead organization chattering....

Let's see what is the worst that could happen?

Will the security council propose several resolutions that France, or Ghana, or Upper Volta will Veto?

Will they send a Muppet named Blix to search all of Alaska for the Minuteman ICBMs in Montana?

Will they impose sanctions on US so that we cannot send foreign aid to the rest of the world?

Really, The only thing that I fear is that they will appoint Slick Willey as UN HMFWIC...forever (shudder).

I like it. And yes it is interesting to watch the double standards out there.

Actually, x42 fits in good with the UN - x42 didn't do anything about conflicts for 8 years.

But ... by the time Bush gets through destroying the UN - and perhaps even pulling out our membership - the UN will only be a shell of it's former self.

I wonder if x42 will still want to be the head of it ...??

It's from Travis McGee; all his idea -- as you know, I am a BushBot and incapable of original thought. :-)

WHAT I WISH BUSH WOULD SAY

Tonight in a special address to the Nation, President George W. Bush declared the following:

"I will not risk the precious lives of our service men and women by vacillating in a sea of uncertainty, for an undetermined time. Tell the Security Council to vote, then let it speak for itself."

If the Council votes against us, they can mingle any new blood spilled in Iraq to the old blood they have accumulated from the innocents in Rwanda and Bosnia."

"For if the dissenting members had been true to their word and resolute in their actions, there would be no war at all."

"The 17th is still the day and there will be no change, not for the United States of America. Our Nation will proceed. We will act in our own interest. We will disarm Saddam Hussein and free Iraq."

"We have not forgotten, nor will we forget, after 9-11, we do not know how."

Somebody please give me the name of our past ambassador to the UN who talked about us waving bye-bye from the dock as the UN departed the harbor. I remember hearing that he passed away recently but a google search only turns up a RAT dissing the man. I want to find his sound byte and play it 24x7.

Excuse me ... I never said I thought France was an ally. I was quoting what Kristol said on the air tonight - and by the way - for your information, Bush said France is an ally during his speech last week.

Sooooo ... back off ... and read the message before you start spouting off!!
