FR Problems and Duplicate Replies

Hi everyone.

As you can tell, we are still experiencing some operating difficulties. As John works to fix the problem, certain features may not work or may behave strangely.

One thing that has been happening is that due to a (hopefully temporary) change in the way the system caches some information, posts may not show up right away. Do not remake posts, as this will just lead to duplicate replies.

Also, do not hit abuse and ask us to remove your duplicate replies. There simply are too many of these requests coming in for us to manage. You will have to live with it if you make duplicate replies.

If an article gets duplicated, you can ask to have it removed as a duplicate, but only if you provide us the URL for the thread it duplicates. Complaints simply saying "Duplicate" will be ignored.

Also, if you try posting an article and get "No Such Thread" after hitting post, odds are the article posted. Check the latest posts page to see if it showed up before trying again. Thanks, AM

I must add that I do not think this is a FR problem only. I am having problems getting into any website. Something is going on across the whole WWW. This has been going on for days now and I have read about others also having the same problems that I am having.

May I suggest that now would be an excellent time to post a "Donate to FR thread"....the heading could be..

Thanks! Of course, the slowness on here yesterday caused me to call my broadband provider because I didn't know better, that guy supposedly set a new IP for my broadband modem, and managed to kill it altogether.

So me having to use AOHell for the next few days until thee tech can get there is all your fault.
