MSNBC tried to tweak the show in November, putting Donahue in front of a live audience in New York instead of in a New Jersey studio, but it made little difference.

Live audience, brain-dead host.

The great part is the way he grovelled the last few shows, offering up his stale leftist platitudes and sour mug as a sacrifice before conservative guests -- pimping his principles in a doomed effort to attract measurable ratings.

But alas, to no avail.

Heh. Heh-heh-heh. Chuckle.

BWAAAAH-HAH-HAAAAAH!

I would have thought Rosie would have given him the ratings boost he needed.

The funny thing is if there was no announcement, no one would notice.

I think the spot is actually going to be eventually filled by Jesse Ventura. Savage is only going to be on once a week when absolutely nobody is watching: Saturday afternoons at five.

He can work for NPR; they don't have to care about the market or being boring.
