Actually, this is rather insulting. Why would a businessman go out of his way to offend potential customers, unless he's a bigot? The Mississippi NAACP has created quite a dilemma for Trent Lott. They have vowed to have blacks boycott all white-owned retail stores until Lott resigns from the Senate. The Chamber of Commerce has estimated that if the boycott is successful shoplifting should go down by 97%.
