President Bush and First Lady Laura are with their children and relatives at Camp David to celebrate Christmas. Today, Bush called nine American service men and women to thank them for their service to our country.

In the spirit of Christmas, this thread is devoted to Christmas wishes for the President and each other, as we celebrate the birthday of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

A sign of the times - MTV is showing a documentary of our troops and USO shows. I guess supporting the military is extending even to MTV. (I could not find my remote, buried under Christmas wrapping stuff, and had to manually change channels on my way to C-SPAN to see Laura and President Bush!) My first time to stop on MTV!

Prayers going up! Daddy was gone for four and a half years. (I was born nine months after his return) Let's not forget to pray for families as well.

Snow has covered the ground here. Ice underneath. Put my truck in four wheel drive and headed out. Beauty every where.

Thank you Rintense for your faithfulness in posting the Dose most every night (& kudos to those who filled in when you needed a back-up poster) -- it is such a wonderful way to end an evening (or start a morning)

I am asking for prayers tonight -- my Father-in-Law is very ill, late-stage Parkinson's, in hospice care and not expected to make it thru' the next day or so -- we are ready to let him go home to the Lord, but it is still very hard on the family, esp. the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and my Mother-in-Law (they have been married over 60 years) and we are having a not-so Merry Christmas -- if you are so inclined, please pray for our family to be given peace during our difficulties and rest in the knowledge that God's ways are not alway understood, and His time is not always our time -- Thanks !
