My wife awoke to this thing (we left the TV on) -- She said she thought it was something on Berlin in the 40's. Then when she realized it was the memorial - she couldn't get back to sleep because of the eerie similarity.
It is sickening the way the Dems play the polls. They are counting on a slight bump from this the week before the elections - similar to a Presidential convention.

Having to suffer through such an ego-inflated festival of clowns as last night's circus, Tommy Thompson was probably longing to return to the days of the anthrax scare! Did he draw the short straw at the White House or what?

It must be stressed that Jesse Ventura walked out of the "service." Forget what we think. What really matters is how the "independent" Sucker Mom voter reacts to this spectacle.

A very apt comparison, as the NAZI's were National Socialists, too. They could learn a thing or two from our rats.

Quite the pep rally for the Dims. I think some illegal alien farm workers were even bussed in.
Reminded me of an old time communist demonstration.

And the RATS have the nerve to try and slam the Republicans for not respecting Wellstone's death? Shameless RATS always looking for some angle to score some brownie points with the dim, greedy, money_fer_nothing American electorate.
I pray that Minnesota voters are turned off by this excessive, vulgar display.

Dante's inferno looked more inviting then what I stomached to watch for a few minutes on C-SPAN. I mean "the Body" never ran from the Predator, yet this was too much for him to withstand. I hope everybody in Minnesota watched this spectacle, because if they did, liberalism in Minnesota took a severe blow to the head, and Mayor Coleman is a lock to win the election.

During the Clintoon years I suggested they should change from the DNC to the PPP ( Party of the Publically Perverted )

Are there any local morining talk radio shows in Minnesota that you can hear on the internet? If so, could someone post a link?
I'm "dying" to hear what people in the state have to say.

It appears the Democrats themselves killed Wellstone so they could have this shameless orgy!

[Kahn] called on Republican senators in attendance to suspend all election activity for Wellstone's seat so that the seat would remain in Democratic hands. The request was less audacious than unprecedentedly presumptuous. Ultimately, it was illustrative of just what the, until then, unspoken intentions of these ultra-partisan Democrats were. They couldn't care less about Paul Wellstone. They seem utterly delighted that they can exploit his death to wring out as much sympathy as possible and feign indignance if anyone should dare to let the legacy and "vision" of Wellstone be turned over to a Republican.
Wellstone's "vision" for America was seen in the USSR in the 80s. Let's let Wellstone's vision for America die in peace with along with the man himself.

The transparency of this Democrat pep rally is appalling and audacious.
As actor/Senator Fred Thompson of Tennessee once said, "After two years in Washington, I often long for the realism and sincerity of Hollywood."

I just saw the clips on FOX.
Lott's "smile" seemed to be more of a disgusted smirk if you ask me.
Like he was thinking, "I cannot beleive this crap".
John Kerry and former Senator Paul Simon of Illinois both looked taken aback by the whole thing as well.
I guess "Wellstone's body is cold" now, the way the Rats were whoopin' it up.
And Juan and Eva Clinton were seated front and center, self-annointed monarchs of the Demonrat Party.

Oh you nasty republicans. Why have you so politisized this tragic(for dems)loss, by not saying anything except expressing condolances. The spectical last night, put on by the dems, was the purest form of a memorial.

They are counting on a slight bump from this the week before the elections - similar to a Presidential convention. The Democrats have been looking for a tit-for-tat payback for the revelation by Ronald Reagan that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, in the days just before the 1994 election. They've never forgotten it, and many of them cling to the belief that it was a big reason they got their heads handed to them that time.
To me it's obvious that is what they are hoping will happen with Wellstone's death.
