First, his comment was not "illegal" Middle East aliens, but ALL Middle East aliens. Certainly I have no problem with getting rid of the illegal, be they Middle Eastern, Chinese, Latino, or anything else.

Second, you think it is OK to victimize Middle Eastern non-Muslims just because they happen to be from the Middle East?? I think not. I thought we learned something about that from the illegal interment of the Japanese??

If you want to INVESTIGATE Middle Eastern immigrants for connections to Al Qaida, and deport those found to have such connections, that's perfectly fine, but a blanket deportation strictly based on ethnicity is not the way to go.

Now those i would not deport. I'd take them as prisoners of war.

Screening all for valid visas and kicking them out if illegal (no valid visa) would be a wonderful start. Maybe you can have some humanitarian exceptions for small children with visa problems, but otherwise we should sweep our decks clear. It would have excluded almost all the 9/11 hijackers.
