A Shot in the Dark I am reminded that this was the title of one of Peter Seller's films co starring Elke Sommer (wink wink nudge nudge say no more)
(and also an obscure rock song from the '80s that I cant remember who the artist is, but I digress)
This whole investigation is beginning to look like a Clouseau film.

oh...I thought this might be an Ozzy thread. nevermind.
To: Ford Fairlane
and also an obscure rock song from the '80s that I cant remember who the artist is, but I digressoops, major brain fart, (slapping forehead repeatedly) Ozzy Osbourne, 1990, Shot in the Dark
I must have damaged those brain cells at some point, possibly at an Ozzy concert
Actually, some of the lyrics are sort of ominous when you think of the current situation:
Out on the street I'm stalking the night
I can hear my heavy breathing
Paid for the kill but it doesn't seem right
Something there I can't believe in
Voices are calling from inside my head
I can hear them I can hear them
Vanishing memories of things that were said
They can't try to hurt me now
But a shot in the dark one step away from you
Just a shot in the dark alawys creeping up on you
Taught by the powers that preach over me
I can hear their empty reason
I wouldn't listen I learnt how to fight
I opened up my mind to treason
But just like the wounded and when it's too late
They'll remember they'll surrender
Never a care for that people who hate
Underestimate me now
But a shot in the dark one step away from you
Just a shot in the dark nothing that you can do
Just a shot in the dark always creeping up on you
But just like the wounded and when it's too late
They'll remember they'll surrender
Never a care for the people who hate
Underestimate me now
But a shot in the dark one step away from you
Just a shot in the dark nothing that you can do
Just a shot in the dark always creeping up on you
Alright
Just a shot in the dark
Just a shot in the dark
Just a shot in the dark
Just a shot in the dark

Okay, so maybe I need to adjust my medication. But, I will bet that some you reading this didn't have to stretch your minds to far to see it, did you? Face it folks, we are all incredibly vulnerable. And that vulnerability extends to far beyond not being bulletproof.I fear this is very close to what the future holds for us if we allow it. It's time to do away with the PC bilge, realize we are at WAR, and send ALL the mid-easterners home and/or put them in internment camps, NOW. The politicians won't do it unless we go on a rampage to demand it. What are we waiting for? More?

Yeah, those lyrics were pretty creepy, too.
I have it on good authority that the author used to really like Black Sabbath and solo Ozzy. Ahhhhh, Diary of a Madman...
I wish Randy Rhodes had left us a few more licks.

In another few days, I think a column from the same author, adressing that very point, will be published.

IMO, 9/11 was sufficient reason to deport all ME aliens. I can't help but think the ME's must be laughing at us wondering how we could be so stupid as to NOT send them back. I turn the tables, and think that if I were on visa in another country, and American terrorists pulled a 9/11 type atrocity in that country, i would EXPECT to be sent home. Seems we worry too much about who we might offend.
American citizens stay here. If terrorism continues, maybe we could just start by sending the American boys/men of ME heritage, to nice internment camps, (yikes...how totally un-PC!) until we get things under control here. War is hell.
If the shooter turns out to be a ME terrorist, what do you think we should do? If it is terrorism, do you think we will be told?

Of course. We know that it was'nt an NRA life member that flew jets into the WTC.
>>>>>Do you want to do this to American citizens of Middle Eastern heritage?<<<<
That's a little more iffy. Deportation, no. Internment, possibly. Increased surveillance and infiltration of Moslem communities and profiling, absolutely.

You too. I just went to that site to read the article in the other browser. It's going to be interesting.. We should make a special link to it on the commentary thread tomorrow. There are SO MANY THREADS being made that some really good ones are being missed. Have you seen all of them yet..or better yet...how many there are?

I forgot to tell you to scroll clear to the bottom of that thread to see how many there are.

What occurs to me from reading the entire editorial is that we need to buy stock in whoever makes bullet-proof vests. They will be the new fashion rage if the snipings continue.
Thanks for the heads up. It is something to think about.
