'Everybody Loves Raymond' Star Disses Babs (Anti-Abortion)

Patricia Heaton, who plays the part of Raymond's wife on the hit CBS comedy "Everybody Loves Raymond" is proudly anti-abortion, and also has a few choice words for Hollywood liberals like Barbra Streisand.

Heaton told Bill O'Reilly that there are icy waters out there for Hollywood conservatives, but she's not afraid to say that if she had her way, abortion would be illegal.

O'Reilly asked just how much guff she had gotten from left-wing glitterati like Babs, and Heaton cracked, "...when my final judgment comes, I don't think I'll be answering to Barbra Streisand."

I've heard this about her, and this just solidifies my appreciation for her. GREAT for her. Its about time someone in Hollywood (other than Mel and Moses) stood up to the PC crowd. Plus, this is BY FAR, the funniest show on TV. Possibly the best show in the last 20 years or so, IMHO.

I don't usially watch those things, but I saw a TV bio story on Patricia Heaton on E! and was amazed and very, very impressed with her. Her mother died when she was very young and that haad a great impact on her life, her family is very devout...one sister is a nun, and she doesn't hide from her faith, in fact she proudly proclaims it.

The Latin Bomb and I watched her interview on The Factor. She was great.

Pointed out that she did other stuff before she acted, if no acting jobs forthcoming, she can STILL do other stuff.

The crack about Babs was everything you can imagine. She didn't flinch or back down, just fired from the hip. The Bomb yells "YES!" from the recliner beside me as we watch...

Unlike Scott Stapp of Creed, for example. I saw a magazine interview with him, and he's a) now divorced (what happened to all that uplifting love, and all? Gone in what? Two years?) and b) hastily backpedalling on a loosely anti-abortion lyric in one of Creed's songs. From the interview, he seems to be retreating to the "I'm personally opposed, BUT" camp.

Bah.
