NOT EVERYBODY IN HOLLWOOD IS AN IDIOT, THOUGH [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
Talking to Bill O'Reilly last night about being pro-life in Hollywood, two-time Emmy-winner Patricia Heaton, from Everybody Loves Raymond said: "it will not be Barbra Streisand I'm standing in front of when I have to make an accounting of my life." In discussing abortion she said, talking about her work as chairman for Feminists for Life: "The early feminists were pro-life. And really abortion is a huge disservice to women, and it hasn't been presented that way. So -- so it's a -- there's a sort of an in for me because of that take on it."

This item comes from National Review Online's "The Corner" section which I find consistently interesting.

I describe this as an "excerpt" because it is an excerpt from "The Corner" on NRO. But this is the entirety of the Patricia Heaton quote from Ms. Lopez.

It's the idiotic 99% of Hollywood that makes the intelligent 1% look bad.

You definitly should watch this show. It is one of my favorites. I would suggest you try and catch some of the reruns. Living in Massachusetts can really get to me politically and most days I am ready to pull out my hair. I make it a practice to watch the reruns for the sake of my sanity. Patricia Heaton is wonderful. Actually, the whole cast is great!
To: Sabertooth
Patricia was interviewed on WLS radio yesterday afternoon before she headed off to a SW suburb of Chicago for a book signing. And yes, she discussed being a conservative in Hollywood on air for several minutes!
To: WarrenC
Ms. Heaton makes an excellent point: the early feminists were strongly pro-life. In an age where birth control was unreliable and little known, they regarded abortion as an evil forced upon women to satisfy men's demands for easily available sex - whether fallen women in the brothels or wives at home.
Conservatives need to understand that some of these charges, which sound sensational to our ears and inconsistent with our images of Victorian life, at least more or less accurately reflect the facts within certain subcultures in society. What may not have been true in Puritan New England or the midwest, certainly existed among the masses in the cities teeming with immigrants, workers in new industries, and the demi-monde. The vast majority of Americans were not churched in the 18th or 19th centuries, howevermuch we see the religious character of our country as critical in its founding and institutions.

Isn't she lovely? How nice to know there's intelligence and a soul to go with that beauty.

I watch it now but there was a time I couldn't because of Marie's antics. It used to make me so mad I had to change channels. Now I can laugh at it. Also, if you didn't know, Marie is a huge spokswoman in causes for senior citizens.

My wife and I are also avid watches of ELR. PH has been in the news a couple of times before this years emmys.
After her mother passed away she had mild to severe bouts of depression. She said her family and those close to her helped in fighting it off. This was a few (?) years ago.
And recently its been said that beautiful cleavage was paid for. Not to take away anything from her as an actor or person but compare her bosom today to any rerun.
And Everybody Loves Raymond is absolutely the best comedy on TV.

What a MILF!

I was wondering how she had gotten them so bodacious in those photos. Ah, what the heck, if I had the money I would do the same. My husband hates to hear me say that, however, which is one of the many things that makes him perfect. :-)

And recently its been said that beautiful cleavage was paid forI watched the O'Reilly interview of her. She openly said that she has had a tummy tuck and breast enhancement...Sadly, a cost of doing business in Hollywood.

that beautiful cleavage was paid forWhich reminds me of the episode when Raymond returned from out of town, she told him she had gotten inplants. It was hilarious!! It upset Marie but turned Raymond on big time. Come to find out she had stuffed two socks in her bra! Anyone remember that one?
