JANET IS BROKE
Janet Reno's campaign finance disclosures, showing that she does not have sufficient funding to even run television ads in her campaign for governor of Florida, came as an unwelcome revelation to managers of Republican Gov. Jeb Bush's re-election effort.
The Bush campaign views former Atty. Gen. Reno as a weaker general election foe than millionaire lawyer Bill McBride, her Democratic primary opponent. Although the better known Reno is far ahead of McBride in the polls, he has more than $1 million in campaign cash on hand compared to her $220,000.
The Florida Education Association last Wednesday began a multi-million dollar campaign in McBride's behalf. The announcement by the state's Democratic Party that it will pay for TV ads by the party's contenders may help Reno.

LOL! I'm almost serious about this. I contributed to Ralph Nader in 2000 and I like to think that money was used more effectively than if I had contributed more to President Bush!

To: Johnny Shear
how's that?

I wonder how many trees the Naderites killed in their subsequent solicitations...
Make one donation, you will get one piece of junk mail, every week, for the rest of your life from them.
Then they sell your name to other like minded orgs. All of the sudden you wonder how PETA got your address.

Beast Train
Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the bad things to go
And I believe it is toast, something really bad had to go
Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the Elian Nation rising
And I believed it would be, some day it's now...here to stay
Cause going out over the edge of darkness, there crashes the BEAST train
Oh BEAST train leaving this country, takeing the big crash run
Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the good things already here
And I believed it would be, something good is here to stay
Oh BEAST train crashing louder
Crash on the BEAST train
Come on crashing BEAST train
Yes, BEAST train crashing harder
losers jump upon the BEAST train
Come losers all onboard the BEAST train
Get our band together, go bring our song too
Cause it's getting farther, it soon will be gone for good
Now come and join the singing, it's so far from you
And it's getting farther, soon it will all be gone for good
Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the Elian Nation here
Why we go on living, why we live in happiness
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there dies a BEAST train
Oh BEAST train left this country, come Elian Nation rising!

Actually, the RNC and the NRA taught me a lesson about mailing lists...I gave to Nader with a money order and no return mailing address. And specifically asked them to keep me off all lists...
Between the RNC (And all the people who buy their lists) and the NRA, my mailbox was almost rendered useless...I finally called them both and told them to... "STOP BEGGING FOR MONEY OR BUY ME A POST OFFICE BOX!!! I'M ON THE TEAM ALREADY!!!"

You can re-direct that money rather than letting it go to Dims.

I gave to some cause (I can't remember which, around 1995).
It was a very small amount ($25 range). I can promise you that the money they've (them and other 'righty' causes)spent begging for another donation is more than the original donation.
NRA, JW, RNC, ad nauseum.
Same thing happened after I gave Lazio 25 bucks in 2000.
To: Johnny Shear
Ok, we can stuff some cut-up newspaper into envelopes and mail that to them.
To: Johnny Shear
I live in Florida. I feel about as much ground swell for Janet Reno as for more taxes. No one wants this lesbian Clinton whore.

Same thing happened after I gave Lazio 25 bucks in 2000.I gave to Lazio too (Actually, I gave three times...$25.00 each time). But I did that by email. In the end, I had to write them a fairly stern letter asking them to stop spamming me...What do they want?? I live in INDIANA!!!
