Enjoyed your post.... here are some observations:
- Too bad the girls and women can't go swimming too. I bet they would enjoy it as well.
- mud houses..... with all due respect to these women, who must employ some very innovative housekeeping techniques, it must be very difficult to keep their clothes and house clean, yet they seem to make a pretty good stab at it. A photo from one of our inner city ghettos would reek of filth.
- Is that Lebanese terrorist/guard, the one in the light blue shirt, picking his nose?
- I wasn't aware that Colen Powell is "pro arab".... just perhaps too "diplomatic" and a bit cacious.
- and lastly.... a note about Ted Williams.... My Father in law, a long time FR lurker (some of you may remember the long FR thread last January honoring him the week we buryed him with full honors at Arlington) was one of Williams Marine flight instructors.

I wonder what a Grease Gun is worth as a collector's item?

Dio, thanks again. Your photos capture reality better and speak louder than any news source can for me.

Methinks someone needs to cut back a little on those humanitarian rations... way too many beans in the diet.

Thank you, Diogenesis, once again that is an amazing selection of photos that give us some of the news from around the world. As I view them my mind writes the stories and today's stories aren't too bad, an appreciated breather.

Thanks Diogenesis, what a great mix of pictures. I still have a great deal of hope for the Afghan people. The longer they can live in peace and freedom the harder they will fight to keep it.

I saw this and thought it would be worth posting.
