Even if Sanchez and Kirk prevail, it would be wrong to blame the uninformed electorate of TX. The Republicans are offering no reason for Republicans to come to the polls. "Nada, nada," there's nothing there, not even interesting rhetoric that a Nixon or Agnew could once provide. The average Texan does not know the candidates. Perry is nearly invisible as a governor. Cornyn was a huge winner for attorney general in 1998, but seems void of substance to me. This GOP overconfidence may lead to disaster. And I understand the Republicans are also likely to lose governorships in MI, WI, PA, and IL. So how is the president's popularity helping his party?
