Toby Keith on CNN with Wolf Blitzer
CNN ^ | 7/4/02

Posted on 07/04/2002 5:07:36 PM PDT by Clara Lou

Did anyone see Toby Keith on CNN with Wolf Blitzer? It was a rather extended interview, and Keith was able to speak his piece and sing the song Peter Jennings forbade. Keith said that Jennings was dishonest, that he (Toby Keith) had the paper trail to prove it. He said Peter Jennings had been "talking smack." It was great to see. Wolf Blitzer applauded after Keith finished singing and told him that Keith had a large audience on CNN.

Maybe they will replay it. It's worth seeing. Keith also mentioned all of the boots that people have been sending to Jennings. Apparently Jennings says Keith started it. Keith says that neither he nor anyone in his camp had anything to do with it. Wolf and CNN really let Keith have his say about Peter Jennings. It was gratifying. (BTW, although he had a free hand in what he said, Keith was a perfect gentleman.)

Man, CNN must be desperate for viewers if Wolf Blitzer sided with someone patriotic.

I had to laugh when CNN proudly promoted that fossil, Connie Chung, as their savior. CNN would try to cure an alcoholic with a case of vodka.

I just saw about 5 minutes of some Chung interview about anthrax. I believe she's lost her touch and her confidence.

She's nothing without Newt's mom calling a spade a spade.

It was a great segment and one of the few times when the Communist News Network has let a patriotic voice speak. Don't be suprised if Blitzer -who we shouldn't forget has worked as a propogandist for Arab terrorists- is punished by Turner for this.

Turner is out. One of the saner (so to speak) liberals who now run CNN will have to rap Wolfie across the knuckles.

I meant Turner as a company. Yeah they're owned by Time Warner which is owned by AOL but I think they still have seperate corporate functions

Every time I see Wolf, I think back to that 'Capitol Steps' skit during the Gulf War: The girl sing "Wolf Blitzer, Heartthrob of the Gulf" (Sung to the tune of 'Moon River').
