This is not surprising, just about anyone can enter this country. Sadam Hussein himself could put on a NY Yankees cap and enter with little or no problem.

The step son entering does not surprise me, the authorities apprehending him, does.

A man thought to be the step-son of Saddam Hussein was arrested tonight in Miami on an immigration violation.

That is shocking.

This is just silly.

It's like Jenna Bush traveling to Saudi Arabia and volunteering to be Osama's after-hours chauffeur.

Uh oh..

Saddam isn't going to like this.

Like it matters in the first place.. But he might try something typical like taking hostages or whatever if he wants him back badly enough.

What we have here is a dumbo. Saddam is not a dumbo; in fact he is a very intelligent sociopath. Apparently his issue married a dumbo, or some recessive genes manifested themselves, or both.

rir, something perhaps relevant I just posted on another thread (from the Air Lines Pilots Association website):

This is a NWA MEC Hotline recorded at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002.

This Hotline contains information about a security alert and a MEM Local Council meeting July 8.

SECURITY ALERT (7/02/02)
Some flight crews from other airlines have reported being the subjects of obvious surveillance by Mid-Eastern looking males and females. This activity was reported in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London. The surveillance was reported as having taken place in layover hotels and other locations where crews congregate, for example, restaurants and pubs. The persons conducting the surveillance seem to pay special attention to aircrew luggage and conversations. Please be alert to the possibility that you may be the target of a surveillance operation. Report any similar events, including specific information if available, to the NWA Security Department and ALPA.

IMHO,these people are incredibly brazen.

This man is a New Zealand citizen employed by Air New Zealand as a Ground Engineer. He is also a licensed Flight Engineer and was in Miami to do re-current training. He has 1000's of hours of flight experience. New Zealand is none to happy over the number of international laws that have been broken, including being interrogated without the NZ consulate being informed.

Saddam Hussein's Stepson Arrested

Printable version E-mail this story to a friend

MIAMI -- A man believed to be Saddam Hussein's stepson was arrested tonight in Miami on immigration violation charges. He came here to study but did so on the wrong visa.

Muhammed Saffi arrived in the U.S. on Tuesday. He landed in Los Angeles on a flight originating from New Zealand. He then made his way to South Florida with the intentions of attending a commercial airline flight school.

He is currently in FBI and INS custody and will be transfered to the Krome Center.

WSVN has recieved information that Muhammed Saffi has been living in Auckland, New Zealand for a few years with his family. As of last year he was working in a secure area for Air New Zealand as a flight engineer.

People in New Zealand didn't see him as a risk. They describe him a a quiet man, a nice man.

His mother, a former flight attendant, was a mistress of Saddam Hussein in the late 80's and they later married.

Stay tuned to WSVN Channel 7 for the latest on this developing story.

Mohammad Saffi arrived in the Los Angelas yesterday on a flight from New Zeland and then came to Miami. He came to South Florida to attend a flight school.

Saffi would not be required to clear customs and immigration in Miami. He would have experienced the normal security that anyone on a domestic flight experiences. Saffi would have encountered customs and immigration upon his arrival in LA. There is a lot more to this story.

Tommorow is the 805th anniversary of the Arabs defeating the last of the Crusaders. Maybe he is here to organize the South Florida celebration.

From an earlier thread:

"On July 4, 1197, Saladin (Salah al-Din) completely annihilated the 20,000-man Crusader army at the battle of the Horns of Hattin, driving the "Christians" from the Holy Land until the 20th century."
