The book "And the Band Played On" debunked this horse manure. CDC sleuthed the disease astonishingly quickly, given the fact they were dealing with a new disease. The real problems included, among other things, San Francisco taking way too long to shut down the gay bathhouses.

What nonsense. AIDS is spread when people engage in immoral behavior, and in rare cases when people who engage in immoral behavior infect medical blood supplies.

PBS also fails to mention that it is an adjunct of the Democratic Party and was even caught using a Dim Party list for its own mailings. Remind me again why we need a government funded TV network in a country with hundreds of broadcast and cable TV networks??

I can remember government responding well when there is an overwhelming amount of email, snail mail, faxes and phone calls going to them about a particular corruption. THAT is what it would take, to force Congress to stop the Democratic party's exploition of this agency.
