Jimmy Carter Thinks Israel is in Europe
While perusing the web site of Jimmy Carter's Carter Center (cartercenter.org), NewsMax was surprised to see that Carter's organization identifies Israel as being part of Europe.
Yes, that's right.
In a section entitled "Activities by Country," Carter lists dozens of nations his organization has been involved with to promote humanitarian causes and the cause of human rights.
We noted that only a handful of countries in the Middle East were represented. The Mideast nations included in the "Asia" section were Syria, Pakistan, Jordan and Yemen.
But not Israel.
Instead, Carter lists Israel in the "Europe" section with such nations as Norway, Finland, Russia and others.
An honest mistake?
Think again. Carter's organization is well aware that Israel is part of the Mideast and should have been included in the section identified as "Asia" - with the other Mideast states he identifies.
One reason Carter is redefining the world map may have to do with the Arab view of Israel. Most Arab states do not show Israel on their maps. On these maps, Israel does not exist, just "Palestine."
The same radicals in the Arab world have long argued that Israel was never part of the Mideast but is instead a European nation that "invaded" the House of Islam.
Carter may have good reason for rearranging the world map. After all, as NewsMax.com first reported, Carter is the recipient of tens of millions of dollars from wealthy Arab states.
Carter will never bite the hand that feeds him.
This may explain Carter's hypocrisy.
He goes soft on Arab regimes and has nothing to say about human rights abuses among them. He even is silent about abuses in places like North Korea - one of the most heinous regimes on the planet.
Yet Carter is an outspoken critic of Israel. Recently, Carter even suggested the U.S. cut off aid to Israel.
More evidence of Carter's hypocrisy: The Carter Center site gives the details of Carter's activities within specific countries like Jordan, Yemen and Syria - all dictatorships - yet Carter makes no reference to human rights problems in these countries. Ditto for regimes like North Korea.
Still other countries with human rights concerns, like Iran and Egypt, aren't even included in Carter's list.
But Israel is listed.
Carter prominently has two sections for his activities for Israel: "Honoring Human Rights" and "Intervening for Human Rights."
On his site, Carter proclaims that he supports two organizations that expose Israeli human rights abuses.
One, the Carter Center says, is "Al-Haq [Law in the Service of Man] ... a Palestinian organization that has documented human rights violations in the West Bank since 1979."
The other is a left-wing Israeli group that - you guessed it - collects "information on [Israeli] human rights violations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip."
The site also notes that in Israel President Carter and Dominique de Menil established a $100,000 prize to promote the protection of human rights.
"It has been awarded to individuals or organizations for their outstanding efforts on behalf of human rights, often at great personal sacrifice," the Carter Center site says.
A nice idea. We're waiting for President Carter to establish similar awards for human rights activists in North Korea, Iran, Iraq and maybe Castro's Cuba.

IGNORANCE.
How the Hell do you know that? How much, or how little worshipping Carter does, or how sincere his Faith is, is between him and God. Unless you've got a direct line with the Almighty, you have no way of knowing that!
Fact is, despite his politics, which I disagree with, I've always admired the stance the man took regarding his faith, even when it would have been more to his benefit NOT to.
I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm jumping down your throat, but I get real tired when Holier-Than-Thous try to judge someone else's faith from afar, based solely on Political Ideological differences. "Oh, he's in a different political party than me, so he must be a Heathen".
This article is either a flat out lie, or the Carter Center got their page (s) changed very fast.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to say that. I have been wanting to say that for the past several days ... years.

Did you read this article thoroughly?. The man's website has Israel placed in Europe. All the Arab nations map's do not have Israel placed on their maps in the mideast. They have Palestine where Israel is. The connection here is Jimmy has taken $10 million from the Arabs. Any man that is against Israel and for the Arabs, is not a Christian in my beliefs. So when he goes to church not much has been soaking in. The money has been, though.
I suspect, this is because Israel is ostracized by Asian organizations.
