Although the article doesn't report this, the major item on the agenda is to push through what was formerly called the Tobin Tax (Tobin has recently passed on), which would tax all international financial transactions.

This would be a taxation beyond the ability of the American people to control. All these monies would pass thru UN institutions, and the estimated amount YEARLY that is being proposed equals $1.7 Trillion, only slightly less that the current budget for the United States of America.

Can you imagine how much LIBERALISM and SOCIALISM will be pushed on us through The United Nations if this is allowed to go forward? The UN will finally have its own military and will become a de facto world government, as it always was intended to be.

Will our President George Bush stop this, or will he cave in?

Hmmmmmm.... My gut reaction is against taxation by the UN.

OTOH, Willie Green doesn't engage in international financial transactions, therefor the tax wouldn't apply to me.

AND a tax on international financial transactions would tend to hinder international financial transactions, THUS HINDERING GLOBALISM!!!

Hmmmmm.... I'm gonna hafta think more about this one!!!

He shocked us with is endorsement of alien amnesty. He won't, however, permit this to happen. If he does, even I (die-hard supporter and campaigner for Bush) will finally re-assess my vote the next presidential election. That said, I'm confident he won't go for this nonsense.

UN plans for global dominance left the realm of the academic long ago. By attending this meeting Mr Bush is legitimizing the idea that non-elected, non-US officials have sway over the United States. Especially by attending a meeting about TAXING US CITIZENS AGAINST THEIR WILL, it very much sends the WRONG message to the AMERICAN People.
