Although the article doesn't report this, the major item on the agenda is to push through what was formerly called the Tobin Tax (Tobin has recently passed on), which would tax all international financial transactions.

This would be a taxation beyond the ability of the American people to control.

Hmmmmmm.... My gut reaction is against taxation by the UN.

OTOH, Willie Green doesn't engage in international financial transactions, therefor the tax wouldn't apply to me.

AND a tax on international financial transactions would tend to hinder international financial transactions, THUS HINDERING GLOBALISM!!!

Hmmmmm.... I'm gonna hafta think more about this one!!!

Oh Willie Green, I'll bet you pay for more international transactions than you think.

That $1.7 trillion isn't going to just appear from the ether. Who do you think is going to pay it? People who work pay for everything. The only way you can avoid the U.N. tax is to quit working and quit spending.

Wille Green doesn't use automobiles? Most oil is imported and that's an international financial transaction. Willie Green didn't pay for the computer he wrote that message on? Most of the chips inside were manufactured in Asia.

Anything crossing national boundaries, both imports and exports, will be effected by this. What's worse is that it will be outside the possibility of control and accountability to the US taxpayer.

It might hinder U.S. corporate globalism, but it would give the globo-socialists enough financial clout to easily take over the world - something they can't currently do without vast amounts of financial assistance and acquiescense from Western nations.
