I'd guess that you are correct in that assumption.
That's too bad. I'm sure I would have liked it just fine. :)
Did you ever think that there might be fewer restaurants now?
That might put more people into the ones that DID remain afloat?
I'm not stating this as a fact, just a supposition.
Sure, but they'll be dead soon so why keep the money?
I smoked for over thirty years and still didn't like someone smoking while eating.
The fact that not allowing smoking caused business to drop off is more an indication of the pathetic hold people allow a cigarette to have on their lives....
OH GEE, I can't leave the house....what would I do if I have to do without my cigarette for 30 minutes?
This survey was only 7 months after the ban went into effect.
Had the business you worked for went under that quickly?
Unka Rob is gonna be maaaaad....
I smoked for over thirty years and still didn't like someone smoking while eating.
I also have smoked for about thirty years. I don't mind someone smoking in the same room with me while I eat as long as they are not blowing it in my face.
If the business has a decent ventilation system this isn't usually a problem.

When I go out to eat a GOOD meal I pay between $80 and $120 for my faminly to eat. My idea of a good meal includes a cup of coffee and a cigarette at the end.
Why on earth would I want to go out and pay that kind of money for a meal that I wouldn't consider GOOD?
OH GEE, I can't leave the house....what would I do if I have to do without my cigarette for 30 minutes?
I'm sorry that you feel that way about smokers. I can, and have, gone days without any type of nicotine whatsoever.
I enjoy smoking but it does NOT control my life.
And if you say so it MUST be true, right.
I'm guessing that you haven't known any smokers that lived to a ripe old age.
I have. I've known smokers that died young and I've known nonsmokers that died young.
Yes, there is a risk factor involved in smoking. There is also a risk factor involved in driving a car.
Both are risks that are taken voluntarily.
I guess this is all OK with Mullah Davis
2) The fact that something precedes an event, does not establish a causal relationship.
3) This survey is missing a "control" group necessary to establish a cause and effect.
4)The hospitality industry is a b!t(h - a large percentage of businesses fail with no outside intervention.
You may agree with the conclusions, but it is still junk science and propaganda.
