“Climate Change !!!
Is there anything it can’t do?”

VERY little - but what there is, Social Justice will mop up.

Here’s a really funny thread:

https://www.climate.gov/news-features/blogs/enso/verification-2022-2023-us-winter-outlook

Thread Winner in the comments:

Dear Sir,

it’s enough to look at the forecasted and observed map to see and know you were dead wrong.

All through the thread the NOAA idiots try to wave their hands and explain away their October 2022 forecast (”it was within the error bounds”. Yea right. When the bounds are + and - infinity, anything works).

Runner up:

Greetings,

NOAA did not do a good job on the winter temperature outlook. To say you did is scientific gaslighting. A simple visual comparison easily shows major forecast problems vs. observed.

Thanks,

John Eise

It’s beyond hilarious to read the deadpan bureaucratic answers. They can never admit they were WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Release the Murder Hornets indeed.

Declined since when? 2023? These people left jumping the shark way back behind them and have moved on to something else even more absurd.

What? A one year sample and she expands it into a trend? Snowfall has been poor for years. Lake Powell was way way down. We had one monstrous snow year last year. This year is decent but not any record. Pure pseudoscientific claptrap propaganda.

Hey, they’ve got this climate future thing figured out. Look how accurately they’ve been predicting hurricane seasons...

Late 1960’s, we wondered where the snow was in December.

1971 10 ft of snow

1974 - 1977 deep freeze

1986 Great Lakes level, high
1987 Great Lakes level, normal

Up, down, up, down . . .

Actually it is due to climate change (drought), but a regional one confined to the American Southwest (Arizona, California, Nevada and Colorado). It's been traced back thousands of years and may have begun after the Younger Dryas period.

The 20th Century was the wettest century in the Southwest in the past 2000 years. The actual average over the past 3000 years has been 2/3 that and a real Southwest drought sees only 1/3 the average precipitation of the 20th Century. Plus there are Southwest mega-droughts lasting hundreds of years with 1/3 of the 20th Century's precipitation for the whole time.

See _The West Without Water_.

Climate Change

The earth is probably still gradually warming up as it has been since the last Ice Age.

That’s when there was ice a mile deep over Canada and the northern USA.

If idiots like Al Gore, John F’n Kerry and Greta Thunberg had been around then they would have bern wringing their hands over the ice melting.

That evaporated water vapor still has to come down somewhere.

We have had two of the largest snow packs in history the
last two years.

Last year the ski resorts were open until August.
