Ukraine will be America’s next Vietnam, Russia says after House passes massive aid bill

Ukraine will be a “humiliating fiasco” for America like Vietnam if Washington continues its muddied involvement, a Russian official said Sunday.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova issued the scathing comment a day after US lawmakers in the House of Representatives green-lit a long-delayed $60 billion aid bill for Ukraine that will help the war-weary nation buy more advanced weapons and defense systems.

“Washington’s deeper and deeper immersion in the hybrid war against Russia will turn into a loud and humiliating fiasco for the United States, such as Vietnam and Afghanistan,” Zakharova said, adding that it’s become clear the US wants Ukraine “to fight to the last Ukrainian.”

Most likely it’ll be something different and most likely worse that Afghanistan or Vietnam but one this is for certain more blood will be shed more young lives will lost and destroyed just so those in power can assert their power over others.

Russia is willing to fight an existential war to keep Ukraine as a vassal state.

Who is willing to fight an existential war against them?

Ukrainian President's new "starter home" paid for by USA tax dollars...maybe he'll buy a second home now.

It’s not over yet. There will be many more requests for money before the war is over. And when it ends, biden will send them 50 billion plus or minus a few billion to rebuild.

"This is Russia trying to bait us to send troops?"

Haven't you heard? Biden's White House has already said they may have to send more ground troops in the guise of "advisers." It will be Vietnam all over again. We've been fighting proxy wars with Russia and China since the Korean War. RATS and Repukes say why stop now?

I think we should send troops, and we should start with the blood relatives between 17-35 of every last Federal Employee, NO EXCEPTIONS, give them a few weeks training and send them straight to the Front Lines in Ukraine. The WAR will end in days of their arrival.

Meanwhile your own “country” is dominated by Trudeau and his lunatics

Maybe you should put equal effort into that battle?

"Man, you guys are desperate."

ROFL!! You're the one who is desperate, begging the U.S. to send taxpayer dollars to fund your wars?

Ukraine aid is just 1% of the total US budget ($61 billion of $6.1 trillion)

Yet you and your Putin pals never, ever complain about the other 99% of the spending ... despite claiming to be "only concerned about deficit spending"

Odd ...

The war is almost over. A likely ceasefire results in a rump state for Ukraine.

Then we'll see NATO troops in Kyiv.

Excellent idea - and to make it even sweeter, we should include every war cheerleader on FR...and if they’re not eligible, their closest eligible relative would do.
