Former Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) said Monday on CNN’s “OutFront” that Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) had “backbone” for advancing foreign aid funding in separate bills, which did not include border security funding as many in his caucus preferred.
Buck said, “I think Mike Johnson’s on the right side of history. And I think that Republicans and Democrats will rally around someone who is showing leadership on Capitol Hill. It is a rare commodity on Capitol Hill. Mike has the backbone to move forward with very important and controversial legislation. The vote should be to vote for or against this package, not to vote for or against the speaker if you don’t like this package, that is not something that should be happening. I think Mike survives.”

I fully understand what you are saying. If Biden serves another term this country as we have known it, is finished for good. The main focus should be on getting Trump back in office. However, it is also good to keep these so-called Republicans feet to the fire.

This whole thing would work out a lot better if RINOs wouldn’t keep effing it all up.

Johnson knew that his name would be mud if he did this. I presume he saw the opportunity to seize the moment, sell out his side and get a payoff that enables him to enjoy the rest of his life after he is retired from the house. Hell, I would put even odds on him retiring at the end of this term like all of his other fellow RINO have been doing.

You are of course correct and these RINO’s need to be outed. However, IMHO like I said above, the main focus should be on getting Trump elected. Otherwise, the rest will not matter if Biden gets another 4 years.

“On the right side of History” just means the people running things like things as they are. At one time, on the right side of History meant, Slavery was fine and a good way to do business. Nazi soldiers were on the right side of History for a few years, then they weren’t. I absolutely HATE the liberal claptrap. It is like trans, and DEI crap.
