1) Aggressive Russians will march through Poland, Romania and the Baltics if they aren’t stopped in Ukraine

2) Stupid Russians have lost 47% of the Ukraine territory they took in Feb. 2022, are losing the war, haven’t advanced more than 200 KM into Ukraine, and have killed hundreds of thousands and spent 1000s of tanks

so which is it?

It’s both.

That said, we have given Ukraine the arms and funding already. They talked and talked about a Spring Offensive 2023 that never happened. They were suppose to go all the way to the Azov Sea which would cut off Russians coming in from Crimea from the Russians already in Ukraine. Instead they waited “for all the weapons and jets to arrive”. The US generals were against this waiting period. Russia was on its heels but the waiting period allowed for Russia to dig in. Because of this I say NO more Ukraine funding until they are at the Azov Sea and looking down at the Russians in Crimea. That’s where we should have been 6 months ago and until they are at that point they are on their own.

The global security system will be destroyed...

What is this "global security system" you speak of?

Russia is going to win the war, why throw money down the drain. Also Ukraine has been a laundry money scheme. Every 10 billion to Ukraine, 2 billion to democrats to make are country communist.
Also they deserve to lose to Russia for our bio-labs based in Ukraine.

The war is lost. When you have to send in mentally handicapped people to fight your war, It’s over.

You telling me that I’m asking the wrong question just shows you have no answer to my original question of why it is in our interest to have Russia take Ukraine. Giving a few dollars to help an ally repel an attack by an openly hostile country makes sense to me. You may see it differently, but until I hear an actual answer from someone, I will continue to be skeptical of anyone’s motives who says no more aid to Ukraine.

If we stop giving the Ukrainians weapons to defend their territory, they will definitely lose the war. If we give them enough resources to defend the territory not already under Russian control (Crimea and the Donbas), there is a good chance Russia will accept its gains and give up trying to gain more.

There is no national interest that deserves American sacrifice.

If Ukraine doesn’t negotiate peace, it’s their foolish choice.
If Russia completes its invasion successfully, it doesn’t hurt us.
If Russia fails, it doesn’t help us.

Europe should handle this regional problem.

We can’t intervene worldwide as the policemen of the world, nor the financial backers of all wars.

"There is no national interest that deserves American sacrifice."

Giving far, far less than 1% of the American annual budget to stop an enemy without shedding one single drop of American blood is a "sacrifice"? Lol. Sorry to laugh, but come on.

"If Russia completes its invasion successfully, it doesn’t hurt us."

With all due respect, this is one of the single dumbest sentences I have ever seen typed on this site. Please, please go pull out a map of the world and look at it.

I don’t endorse the notion of Russia taking over Ukraine pe se.

Russia has its attitude in the matter but what matters as an American is what’s going on over here on our side of the fence.

The Russian military thrust into Ukraine in 2022 the culmination of 25 years of policy first started by President William Jefferson Clinton in 1997.

I don’t know where the cigar was back then maybe Monica Lewinsky was in the room but to the point Bill Clinton decided to expand NATO eastwards towards Russia.

George Kennan was around at the time he set up the containment of the Soviet Union as a policy in the Cold War.

Kennan projected that Russia would feel threatened and get disturbed by all this in the end.

The coup in Ukraine in 2014 Victoria Nuland’s operation if you will put Russia into Crimea during the Obama Administration.

It set the course for the fighting in Donetsk and Luhansk events that exploded in 2022 into full scale war.

Why did the US do this stuff to Russia all Americans must ask?

Angela Merkel made noises not too many years ago about Russia being driven into the arms of China by all this.

Are there moles in our government creating a scenario where China wins?

Aggressive Russians? You are so full of crap.

We fomented an illegal coup in Ukraine, setoff a civil war, installed a puppet government that was hostile to the ethnic Russian population and Moscow, funded and trained a 600,000 man army and teased NATO membership for Ukraine.

If Russia or China had done anything like that in Mexico, we would have invaded.

Take your BS and shove it. Mikey Johnson is laundering your money. It won't make a bit of difference in the war. Ukraine will lose tens of thousands of more soldiers and more territory. It has absolutely no chance of doing anything but losing more territory.

It's doubtful most Ukrainians won't this war to continue.

The sooner Ukraine ceases to exist, the better for US taxpayers and safer we and the world will be.

Is it really a “war” or just sporadic battles here and there ?

I have still yet to see news clips from the front lines like every other war - ant news teams on the ground ?

We mind as well flush $60 billion down the toilet. The money won't help Ukraine win the war. It might prolong it a little but it will only cost Ukraine more dead soldiers and more lost territory. Just look at what the tens of billions they already received has done for them. Even Mr Ukraine, the Mayor of Kiev Klichko doesn't believe in Ukrainian victory. That's why his sons were sent to live in Germany and are now German citizens. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

You already had your own answer.
Why bother asking for the opinion of others?
